We upgraded our room and had the best sunrise view overlooking the opera house🤍. The stay was very lovely and all the staff are very accommodating and nice, definitely recommended for a nice getaway.

Hi Team Shangri-La, We had a fantastic day and a very enjoyable stay. From arrival, the experience was excellent. Concierge greeted us straight from our Uber and assisted with our bags, and check-in was handled brilliantly. We were able to check in early, and our luggage was already in the room before we arrived, which was greatly appreciated. We stayed in Room 2612, and the harbour views were absolutely lovely. We also spoke with in-room dining. There was a small hiccup with one snack, however the bill was quickly adjusted to reflect this. Everything else we ordered was quite good, and the matter was handled promptly and professionally. Overall, it was a really positive experience and a credit to your team. Please pass on our thanks. Club lounge afternoon tea should be ashamed, canapés just rabbit food on 2 counters, dry pizza, fried anchovy ravioli were so bad, barramundi pie- mainly sauces, club breakfast also poor. Club lounge 1/10. Cafe Mix 10/10, club checkin/out 1/10. Never return, 2019 was fabulous

Perhaps my expectations were too high for this five-star hotel, but it fell slightly short. The room size was great, and the room and hotel was clean. The elevators were a little difficult and could be slow depending on how many people were using them at the time, and they seemed to go by floors frequently. I used the spa (okay), pool, and fitness area a few times, and the women’s locker room was not designed well. Plus, there was no one monitoring the pool area, so kids were often jumping back and forth from the pool to the whirlpool despite a sign limiting the whirlpool to those over 4’. Their parents either didn’t see the sign or didn’t want to tell their kids no. I ate at the hotel on one occasion, and the food at high tea was pretty good. However, there were some issues with service from one or two individuals I encountered during my stay. The biggest issue is when I checked into the hotel I asked that my room not be serviced during the stay. I was told a note had been made on the account, and when I got to my room, I turned on the do not disturb button near the door. However, the first time I left my room, I returned to find the do not disturb light had been turned off, and my room had been serviced. I immediately called guest services, and I was told that they would look into it and address the issue. The next morning, I checked at the front desk, and I was told that a note would be made for my room and that nothing had been noted despite my two previous requests.

From the moment we got out of the uber, the staff were so amazing. So polite and helpful. We were there celebrating our son's 5th birthday and they made him feel so special by giving him a birthday cake and special birthday breakfast. The rooms were spotless and so amazing, we even got a split room which made the stay even more perfect. Will be staying here agin when we return to Sydney in the future.

The hotel was aware prior to our check-in that this was our 30th wedding anniversary staycation, no attempt or effort was made to wish us on arrival neither was there any in room complimentary gift or offer. It does not take much to make the little effort which left us quite dissapointed.
