It was a pleasant stay at the Wing Hotel. I stayed at the Wing Hotel Kualanamu Airport on July 14, 2026, and checked out on July 15, 2026. The hotel is close to the airport, and there is a shuttle bus service, which is free to and from the airport. I happened to take the 7:30 AM WIB shuttle bus to the airport yesterday. The distance from the hotel to the airport is about 10 minutes. The hotel staff was also very good and friendly. The hotel room was quite spacious, clean, and comfortable. Next trip, I will stay at the Wing Hotel Kualanamu Airport again.

All the hotel staff I encountered, including the security guards, the front desk, and the cleaning staff, were very friendly. I was also very grateful that the power was still out in my area when I checked out, so I left my child's breast milk at the hotel to prevent it from spoiling, and the staff allowed me to do so.

The staff was friendly, and when I went there, there was a free airport drop-off promotion, and it was indeed free, even though I was the only one with a 5 a.m. departure time. I was still delivered on time with excellent service. Thank you, Quadrant. I was traveling from Java to Medan for work and chose to stay at Quadrant because it was close to the airport and had a shuttle service.

Discovering Biru-Biru: A Unique Indonesian Escape for Global Travellers

Indonesia, an archipelago renowned for its diverse cultures and breathtaking landscapes, offers countless destinations that captivate the international traveller. Beyond the well-trodden paths of Bali and Java, lies Biru-Biru, a region that presents a more authentic and less-explored facet of Indonesian charm. This area provides a unique blend of natural beauty, local traditions, and burgeoning infrastructure, making it an increasingly attractive option for those seeking an immersive travel experience. Biru-Biru offers a distinct flavour, from its proximity to significant transport hubs to its own local attractions, promising a journey that feels both accessible and genuinely off the beaten track.

The character of Biru-Biru is not monolithic; it is a region of varied landscapes and distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a different perspective for visitors. From the bustling commercial zones around Batang Kuis and Tanjung Morawa, which serve as gateways due to their proximity to major transport links, to the more serene, nature-infused areas like Sibolangit, the region caters to diverse preferences. Beringin and Percut Sei Tuan offer glimpses into local life, while Deli Tua and Sunggal provide their own unique flavours. Understanding these differences is key to crafting a memorable stay, as choosing your base within Biru-Biru significantly shapes your entire Indonesian adventure.

For international travellers, particularly those from the United States, Europe, and India, Biru-Biru presents a compelling value proposition. With an average starting price that is remarkably accessible, it allows for extended stays and deeper exploration without the hefty price tag often associated with popular Southeast Asian destinations. This affordability, coupled with the region's developing tourism infrastructure, means that travellers can experience genuine Indonesian hospitality and culture at a fraction of the cost. This makes Biru-Biru an excellent choice for budget-conscious explorers and those looking to stretch their travel funds further.

Biru-Biru's accommodation landscape reflects its evolving appeal, offering a spectrum of options to suit various tastes and budgets. While specific establishments like Kolam Pancing Mako Alam Jaya (MKJ) and YAPIM Biru-Biru might represent the local flavour, the region also boasts a growing number of hotels catering to international standards. These properties, ranging from comfortable guesthouses to well-appointed hotels, provide a solid foundation for exploring the area. For travellers ready to plan their visit, the ease of finding and securing accommodation through platforms like Traveloka makes it simple to book hotel stays that align with their itinerary.

Ultimately, Biru-Biru is a destination that appeals to a broad spectrum of international travellers. American and European visitors might be drawn to its potential for cultural discovery and its proximity to natural attractions, offering a different pace from more developed tourist hubs. Indian travellers will likely appreciate the connectivity, the diverse culinary scene, and the excellent value for money. While African travellers might find regional similarities or unique opportunities for exploration, the overarching appeal for all lies in Biru-Biru's promise of an authentic Indonesian experience, accessible and affordable, waiting to be discovered.
