Senai Airport (JHB), officially Senai International Airport, is the airport for Johor Bahru and southern Peninsular Malaysia. It sits in Senai, in Kulai District, Johor, and the operator puts the taxi ride to Johor Bahru city centre at about 30 minutes. The airport has a single passenger terminal for both domestic and international flights, and bus links run on from the city to Singapore. Senai is privately run by Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn. Bhd., not by Malaysia Airports. Its former name was Sultan Ismail International Airport.

Senai International Airport terminal (domestic and international)

Every flight at JHB uses the one terminal. The landside Aeromall at the front holds the self check-in kiosks, shops and transport counters. Security, immigration for international flights and the Departure Hall are upstairs on the first floor. The operator's airline directory lists these passenger airlines:

Getting to and from Senai Airport

Most ground transport counters are inside the Aeromall. Fares are shown at the counter or in the app.

Airport shuttle bus to JB Sentral

Causeway Link runs the airport shuttle bus, with tickets sold at its counter inside the Aeromall. The ride to JB Sentral takes about 45 minutes when traffic is light. At JB Sentral you can change for buses across the border to Singapore.

Express bus to Desaru Coast and Legoland Malaysia

Causeway Link also sells express bus tickets at the airport for Desaru Coast and Legoland Malaysia, handy if you are flying in for a holiday in Johor rather than heading into the city.

Taxi

Coupon taxis are booked at the counter in front of the Aeromall main entrance. The trip to Johor Bahru city centre takes about 30 minutes.

Train via Kulai

Senai has no rail station of its own. To travel by KTM train, take a taxi to Kulai station and board there.

Car rental and parking

Car rental services operate at the airport. If you drive yourself, Metro Parking manages the car parks: the Aeromall basement, a second basement car park, an open long-term car park and a VIP premium car park. Discounted long-term rates are offered for longer trips; check current rates on arrival.

Massage-chair rest stations are available, and reflexology outlets operate on the ground floor and in the Departure Hall.

Gift and souvenir shops sell local products. Bank ATMs and a bureau de change are on the ground floor. Baby nursing rooms are on the ground floor and in the Departure Hall, and wheelchairs, priority seats and guided assistance can be arranged, with assistance bookable in advance.
