The hotel was very nice. Wish the pool had been open during our stay. Room was a tad on the warm side, but overall very pleasant stay for the price and location.

Everything was great. Rooms very nice and cozy with a great view of the city. Only con is that the pool was closed during our stay. We were really looking forward to it. Overall great stay and very close to restaurants and shopping. We would stay again.

The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of the historic center, and despite being on a busy street, our room was remarkably quiet. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The hotel facilities are beautiful, and the nighttime ambiance is particularly special. We loved the live music featuring a piano and violin; it was incredibly soothing and featured a wonderful range, from movie soundtracks like LaLa Land to classical pieces and even tango. We also really appreciated the complimentary drinks at the bar, which was a lovely touch. For dining, we had both dinner and breakfast at Fontana, and the food was great. A special shout-out to Maximiliano, who went above and beyond with his service. He was so friendly and proactive; at one point, while I was waiting at a food station, he insisted I go sit down and relax while they prepared my meal, promising to bring it to me himself. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It will be our first choice whenever we are back in Mexico City!

Buyer beware. All listings for this hotel feature a pool, but that was a nonstarter. The pool was empty of water and looked like it had been for weeks. The room AC was out of service, too. They don't use fitted sheets on the beds, so roll over once, and you're lying on an uncomfortable wrinkled mess of loose sheets. I was short-changed by the coffee stand barista, and after pointing that out to him he still tried to pocket 4 pesos that belonged to me. The breakfast was pretty good, but someone needs to seriously reexamine what they do with the liquid they call coffee at breakfast. There's great coffee to be found in Mexico but unfortunately they don't have any of it at this hotel. I was grossed out when adding some milk to the coffee and watching it turn to the color of gray mud instead of caramel. The Sonora grill served som good arrachera 'Texan' tacos that were supposed to be served with grilled onion. But to get the onion a mini-argument with the wait staff was required, including them bringing the menu to the table again so that they could read it and then agree that onion was supposed to be part of the dish.

I usually book Barceló when staying in Mexico. While they can be hesitant to accommodate requests due to high demand, the buffet breakfast is great, though the hostess service was a bit standoffish during our family stay of 12. That said, after I had an accidental fall, the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. Still my go-to place.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The pool was broken and empty the entire time. Hotel management did not respond to our request to resolve our concerns. The room was ok, nothing fancy and we could hear everything the neighbours beside us were doing and saying. No privacy at all. There are better hotels in the area. I suggest the Hilton

I called ahead to inform the hotel of a late check-in for Monday. I am a frequent traveler, and upon arrival, I was given a room with two full-size beds instead of the king-size bed I requested and paid for through Expedia. I spoke with the front desk multiple times to have the room changed and was told they would contact their manager, but the issue was never resolved.
