ARK Canary Wharf

I would not recommend this place at all. They were completely uncontactable on multiple occasions, even Expedia couldn’t get hold of them, which says a lot. They offered no help whatsoever. We paid full price, yet half of the facilities were closed, and nobody informed us of that before we booked. To make things worse, the property was unclean and far from what was advertised. Overall, a very poor experience and definitely not worth the money.

When we checked in, we were told that a lot of the keys weren’t working and that if ours didn’t, we should contact reception so someone could come up to let us in. When we arrived at our room, the door didn’t work, and staff had to come up to open it. Instead of giving us a new key card, they told us that every time we wanted to leave, we’d have to contact reception so they could come and let us in again. We called reception a second time, but no one answered, so we had to leave our door open, which felt unsafe. The key to the spa also didn’t work, and we had to go down to reception for someone to come up and let us in there as well. It was just a massive inconvenience. This is actually the second time I’ve stayed here — the first time, the spa wasn’t working either. There always seems to be an issue with something. The beds were also really uncomfortable; ours had a slight dip and felt cheap and small. If you’re looking for comfort and a smooth stay, I’d honestly say go elsewhere.

Steam room and sauna did not work during trip and the rooms were not hotel standard. No cutlery or cups and glasses but basic and good cafe.

Room neglected. Dirty. The hotel tried to rob me of seven hundred pounds, which was more than the cost of the room, and I had to report it to my bank as fraud. My shower had no door. It was propped up against a wall, and no one came to fix it. Reception staff are absolutely useless and may I confidently say, in the wrong job. -11/10. Horror story. Oh, bonus round, don't expect a sauna, pool or gym. They are lying to you. FRAUD.

Before checking in, I tried repeatedly to contact ARK about parking — by phone, email, Hotels.com messages, and their own app chat — but received no reply. Calls went to voicemail, emails bounced, and the listed contact details didn’t work. So, expectations were already low before arrival. Check-in was friendly and straightforward, but the shower door in my room was hanging off its hinges. I asked to move rooms, which turned into a bit of a faff with keys and confusion. The second room was dusty, missing amenities, and the TV remote had no batteries. Despite being told to use the app for issues, no one responded. Reception promised to send help, but no one came. The “equipped kitchen” was laughable — a kettle, two glasses, and one teaspoon. No plates, cutlery, or cookware. When I requested utensils for a food delivery, they arrived two hours later. The room was noisy, right next to the lift, with constant “dings”, and the bathroom was tiny. For the price, the overall experience was poor. Even the pool was inaccessible as my key card didn’t work. As someone who stays in London weekly for work, I can safely say there are far better options elsewhere. Would not stay again.

The room was cramped, there was no Aircon which was desperately needed.Taff were courteous, shared facilities were good.

I checked and was assisted by a wonderful gentleman from Zimbabwe. He went over and above to assist me with luggage.ensured I was comfortable. The young Indian man were equally friendly and helpful. So was Latifa. Please can we celebrate this amazing team. If I return to canary wharf i will rebook. Thankyou

Hole in floor of our room, nightmare check in & paid twice for parking !!

Property is in a convenient location for the 02 and has a lovely cafe and cool common areas. The rooms themselves are very basic and small and could do with a bit of love. We had some issues with our bathroom on arrival and instead of being moved into one of the many vacant rooms we had to sit and wait for maintenance, which felt a little unfair considering we were away on a birthday trip and had plans.

The building is lovely we was disappointed as when we booked we see the facilities it had and booked non refundable and after we had booked and paid we was then advised that the pool etc was out of use

Eaten alive during the night, can only assume mattress had bed bugs. The room was SO hot, no air conditioning. The shower cubicle is VERY tight and the sink very small despite the bathroom being a great size. No tv remote to begin with, after receiving it TV signal did not work. No bin in the room. The cafe food and drink is absolutely fantastic!

Bedding really poor quality, room very very hot. Got there late and left really early as difficult to sleep

The stuff was very helpful and friendly. However I didn’t know that if I needed anything, I needed to contact the reception. I came late and there was not a mug or spoon to have a cup of coffee. Also not even a small bottle of water. The same for breakfast, i couldn’t have a cup of coffee. I asked the reception and then they told me I needed to ask 😀. Apart from that great views and very clean flat.

Nice enough place, but a few things to note - the room is tiny. Yes, it’s London, but it’s very, very small (bathroom is particularly small) - shower isn’t great (very small; not much pressure) - bed is like sleeping in a hammock (it sags in the middle) - no air con - if you open the window, the DLR trains are very noisy Good points: - free (fast) wifi - the TV works - fridge / kitchenette in room (altho there’s no cutlery / plates to use) - check in was quick - it’s secure
