에어컨 선풍기 없음. 창문도 거의 안열리는 구조라서 너무 더웠어요

Good location and room was clean, but in dire need of a refurbishment. No aircon in the bedrooms, but even with the fans provided the heat made the night unpleasant in the bedroom.

Very tired hotel, well past its best.

This hotel was obviously quite grand in the past. It now looks a bit tired. No air conditioning - only a fan in the room. Very thick, hard pillows with no possibility to change. The staff were as helpful as they could be.

Hotel is very tired and in need of decoration and modernisation but it’s clean and convenient and the check in staff are very helpful

The hotel is fine. It’s an older building so I wasn’t expecting everything to be perfect. For example there’s no electric outlets next to the bed. There was no AC but there was a decent sized fan. The room was clean. My biggest gripe was the fire alarm going off repeatedly from 2am - 3am.

I arrived by train from London and the walk was very short from the GWR Station. The hotel is directly across from the Castle and the Stadium so ask for the Castle view. Note: one of the smallest lifts I have ever seen, it was cute and glad to have it. I stayed on the 3rd floor facing the Castle. The room is small and old but had everything I needed. The shower was hot with a brisk shower head, atV and plenty of room to unpack and hang my clothing. Bath had plenty of toiletries and towels. The bed was comfy and had 4 nice sized pillows which I like. On arrival I did arrive very early and the room was not ready which was to be expected. The staff was very friendly and offered a water and gkady took all my luggage to hold and made a suggestion to see the Castle as this was the perfect time. Literally you walk across the street and there is the entrance. On check in I was pleasantly greeted and breakfast was explained. They allowed me to take a look as I am a fussy eater. As I would only eat some fruit and hard boiled eggs they graciously allowed me to only pay 3 pounds. I ate dinner there the first night in the bar. Clean, quick, good food and great atmosphere. Please note, no ac but I was there in April and it wasn't needed. Summer will be much different. They did have a fan. The only issue was the windows. They are filthy and that ruins the view of the Castle. They need to clean them because that Castle view is everyt!

Ok hotel, but difficult in warm weather with no ac.

Room was lovely staff were lovely bit noisy as concert going on in castle across road until late… not a lot they can do about that in fairness if weather was cooler could of closed windows to hopefully reduce noise again nothing they can do about the weather. Breakfast was nice but not very hot and we were in there 5 minutes after it opened at 8am. Overall beautiful building fantastic location and I would stay again but go out for breakfast

Location was great right next to town in walking distance, clean hotel but dated, good comfy bed, fresh towels provided every day, large spacious rooms with tv and tea and coffee in room, staff helpful, breakfast was great, huge selection, didn’t use the bar but looked well stocked. Weather was extremely hot and the one fan given to each room wasn’t unite adequate, no air conditioning at all throughout the hotel. There is NO car park, apparently the hotel hasn’t had one in 3 years despite being advertised but the rugby club opposite offer parking for a fee, depending on how long you want to stay.

Breakfast staff were good. Mattresses very old mine had big dip in middle and gave me back ache. One Member of reception team was very unhelpful about this. Eventually replaced as house keeping team more understanding. No plugs near bed radiator on outside room in a heatwave! Room very hot and most windows wouldn’t open.

Our twin room was clean and had everything we needed, apart from plug sockets! The only sockets available in the room were for the TV and the VERY essential, but fairly ineffectual fan. A little dated decor wise, possibly due an upgrade? But everthing else worked as it should. A lovely little selection of toiletries in the bathroom and good sized fluffy towels. The staff were great, I can't fault them for helpfulness and genuine friendliness. However (and it's a big one for the disabled community, especially those using anything bigger than a self propelled wheelchair) accessibility is a little sketchy. Admittedly the building is old, historic to Cardiff, and when originally fitted out would have had state of the art accessibility features. A bit like car parking spaces today, they are no longer big enough for the cars most of us drive. The same with The Angel Hotel. Their accessibility is not fit for purpose. In order to access reception I had to wheel round to the side of the hotel to a recessed side door. The bell didn't work, so travelling partner had to go back round the street, up the stairs to reception to ask for me to use the lift. Lovely receptionist walked back down and round to me to put the pin number in to let me in. We then realised I'd have to take my electric wheel chair attachment off for me to fit into the platform lift, as it was only big enough for a wheelchair. The same with the main lifts in the hotel. El hotel necesita mantenimiento.

The lobby is very nice an clean but the rooms need a very big refurbishment just old and worn out broken lamp shades light what dont work as the buld have done. The room need re doing to a modern standard would bit stay again until that would be addressed.

The Angel is drab and rundown. I’ve known it was a major feature of Cardiff but it is now very second rate. It is poorly decorated and gloomy and rather unwelcoming. The receptionist was unhelpful and verged on disrespectful when the electronic key would not open my room door involving three(!) trips to Reception and back. I never expect obsequiousness but politeness and helpfulness and an apology goes a long way! The room was clean and serviceable. It was OK for one night but I would not have been happy for a longer stay.

Very tired property and needs some updating. We booked a premium double room which was definitely not premium. Single glazed windows onto a main road so the room was very noisy. It was also extremely hot in the room, but due to the road noise we were unable to open the windows. The bed was so soft, I hit the base as I sat down. Bathroom sealant needs redoing as it was brown. We booked the hotel as a treat after graduation, but decided to leave after arrival as we couldn't have stayed in such a hot, noisy room comfortably. I wouldn't return to the property.
