No view, shower pressure was terrible, got given the wrong room. No pool or gym use

There was construction works happening during our stay. It was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. Instead it was not the case, there was constant drilling and even dust coming through the site in the lobby. The entrant to the leisure centre was under construction and poorly laid out. I feel it was wrong to get this quality of stay considering the amount we paid.

Good location, Room was good. But Cleaning service wasn't good

The room we stayed in had a collapsed mattress on one side,it was to late to advise the staff on our first night. When we did advise the staff the next day they changed us to a different room. Also, we rang reception and room service, waited for 15 mins on the phone. In the end we just went down to reception, only to be told they were very busy,thats why they didnt answer the phone

Room clean. As usual in any hotel tv nearly impossible to work out ! Bathroom fabulous. But it's not 4 star by any stretch. Dont care for the balcony where ya' practically looking at ya' neighbour.

Fantastic

This a great location. Easy walk to the water and the shops. Room was comfortable, with a good bed and shower. Unfortunately, the hotel has renovations happening. We were informed of this after booking. This meant that we were woken in the mornings with a jack hammer, that went on throughout the day, was not relaxing and saw us leaving our room early each day. We had a lovely balcony view, but unfortunately did not enjoy this during the day, due to the jack hammer. Noah in reception was very helpful.

Breakfast was great. Room clean and tidy.

We could see that the Novotel offers a great experience usually. Our room and clean and had everything we needed, we had a sea view from the balcony, the hotel bar was nice, and the staff were friendly. However, I absolutely cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel right now as there are significant ongoing works and the noise starts at 8am and is unbearable. Think jack hammer levels of noise literally starting at 8am on the dot. I am astonished that the rooms are not in any way discounted to take account of this because you really can’t be in your room beyond 8am due to the levels of noise. If I had known, I would have spent my money elsewhere I’m afraid. I’m pretty upset that I’ve paid a premium price and ended up in a room that was unbearably noisy. I would strongly recommend avoiding until the works are complete.

Great hotel with great water views. Breakfast was great. Room was nice. Only downside was they didn’t make up room in between nights.

Located near beach area. Valet parking. Spacious room with king bed. Large selection for buffet breakfast

The room for the price was over rated and small- payed for the views Room service extra charge???? Valet parking in Westfield shopping centre- due to construction- should have been free

The Novotel iscin a great location walkable to Deakin Campus , cafes & restaurants. The construction work noise foiled my attempt to sleep in. Overall a good stay.

Tony and the team were superb, making our special weekend even more memorable. Location and amenities were second to none. Couldn’t be more pleased with the Novotel property. Thank you all once again.

Staff weren’t welcoming. Couldn’t even smile to greet us. The staff in the restaurant were lovely. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well and the teaspoons had to be cleaned before we used them as they had lip marks on them. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious. Walls were dirty and the surfaces were dusty. Not sure if we were the first to use the room for a while. Not a place I would book again deapite a good location

While the price was relatively affordable, there were several serious issues worth noting. The hotel does not provide parking, and nearby options cost AUD 35–45 per stay. At check-in, one of the front desk staff, an Asain female, was unclear in her explanations and failed to mention breakfast times—she simply handed me a paper and said, “everything you need to know is printed here.” It left me questioning whether I was staying at Novotel or an Airbnb. The soundproofing was very poor. At night, the neighboring room had loud arguments and blasted the TV. We eventually called the front desk around 11 PM, but the phone rang for a long time before someone answered and took action. Breakfast the next morning was another letdown—one of the cheeses or the avocado spread seemed spoiled, with a slightly bitter taste. Both my wife and I experienced mild stomach discomfort the following day. Frankly, I was surprised to see Novotel’s service and quality drop to this level. When cost-cutting takes priority, the guest experience inevitably suffers.

Always a great place to stay. Buffet brecky was excellent.
