Hotel AF Valle Orotava

This hotel is perfectly positioned in PDLC near to amenities & the centre of town. Stunning views to Teide. Also it’s right next to the bus station which makes it easy to get around the island. The staff here are very friendly & helpful & always take the time to chat to you - their language skills are excellent. The food in the restaurant is excellent quality at both breakfast & dinner with plenty of choice and well presented. The new spa is a welcome addition & reasonably priced. The rooftop pools are refreshing and not too hot: it’s nice to swim in a saltwater pool without the overpowering smell of chlorine. Beds very comfortable & clean. A note to future guests: the former bus station to the side of the hotel has been vacant for many years but is due to be demolished & replaced with a commercial/public space in the next 2 years. This will inevitably be noisy & disruptive during the process so I would make sure to check the progress of the project before booking. Overall this will be a large improvement when completed though. My only very minor gripes are that there’s no milk provided with the tea & coffee in the rooms; for evening dinner there is no free drink option (eg tap water) or coffee/tea available; and that on a couple of occasions the food was incorrectly labelled in the buffet restaurant with the wrong nutritional information, so those with allergies do need to be extra careful. The hotel in general was excellent and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting PDLC.

Nice hotel with good cleaning, good breakfast and very nice personell. Recommended. We stayed there for 2 weeks and will definitely come back again next year.

Perfect Location for transport around the island also in the centre of Puerto de la Cruz as soon as you come out everything is walking distance. Breakfast is Served Daily and complimentary, also a Spa and Rooftop Deck with bar and 2 pools.
