Mantra Parramatta

It’s convenient in location close to Westfield and restaurants however it’s v noisy with the train tracks across the road. Big space and washer/dryer was convenient.

The room was good and beds comfortable. Many places in close proximity for dinner. The one issue I had was reception was left unattended after 10:00pm and there was no vending facilities to buy a bottle of water. Other than overall a good experience!

Conveniently placed and quiet - couldn't hear the trains too much even though right by the station. Great stay, friendly staff.

Check-in and location was excellent, unfortunately our Airconditioning was not working, making for a slightly uncomfortable stay, whilst there is kitchenette our room had no fry pan or cooking utensils. Fry pan requested by reception was rectified very promptly, however the utensil request took over 4 hours - so we made do with a fork to cook some breakfast. No toaster either. The reception facilitated an early-check in and a bottle of wine for our friend's birthday who were staying in another room, what a nice touch!

Lets be honest this hotel is older so dated and worn. However the rooms are large with everything you need. Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment as a family. Good sized fridge, bathroom and cupboard space. You can't cook full meals just small put together stuff. Staff are helpful and Hotel is close to everything. If you run out of stuff or need something sorted they do what they can. Parking is limited and quite tight. Parking isnt always available even when you pay for it but the parking building is cheap and just next door or the one 200 meters away. Pool was lovely. Cold but good after the hot spa that is there. Gym is basic but functional except treadmill needs fixing. Breakfast buffet was lovely and everything you need, fresh, a good variety and selection. Our dryer didnt work, they were quick to offer several options to fix. Hotel was fully booked out due to several big sporting events and we still found it quiet and not busy. For the price and location I think this hotel is fine. It's a good budget option for families just don't expect 5 star quality. Cannot fault breakfast or staff. Would stay again with a smaller vehicle.

Terrible experience staying at Mantra Hotel, definitely not even a 1-star experience. The room was disgusting, dirty, and mouldy. The bed was broken, the curtains were damaged, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. Very disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance standards. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Staff were excellent! room was not how it looked on the pictures and we were not aware of the restaurant and bar being closed over the weekend, the parking was confusing and there was absolutely no information pack or booklet in the room to tell us how to use the shower or how to check out, the phone in the room also did not work.

My suite was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for my two day stay in Parramatta, especially as I had work related activities in Parramatta Square

For the price it was fine.

This property is in a great location for access to events at Homebush Olympic Park and the general Parramatta area. With the train station so close it could even be a good spot to explore other areas

We had one night stay at Mantra and it was quite good for what we wanted. Good location, good service. The Hotel is a bit tired.

I had booked a room with a King bed, and was given a room that had a king sized bed made up of 2 singles, both of which had very old mattresses, that the metal frame was poking through when you got in it - in the middle of the bed. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after midnight after getting back to the hotel from an event. Additionally, the aircon wasn't working properly and was unable to cool down the room sufficiently (Sydney in March etc..!). Suffice to say, a very uncomfortable night. The next morning, I approached the desk and was given a room with a much better bed and working aircon, but a much smaller room. On checking out, I asked the receptionist about what they could do about the first night. It seemed she was only able to to allow a future credit if I returned, but as this visit was for a one-off event, (and I'm from NZ), I wouldn't be coming back to Parra any time in the future. She gave me an email address, which I emailed, it took a followup email after getting a 'ticket closed' email before any response and 9 days to get a reply, which was to offer a returning rate of $150 including breakfast (less than the receptionist offered!) which I had already said was of no use. I replied and still no response 4 days later. The staff on the ground were very nice, I believe this is a bottom level priority property within their business, dealing mainly with tour groups who can't complain, which is backed up with the very lax attitude to replying. Would avoid.

Booked a room 7 months in advance, was given a completely different room upon check-in, of lesser value. Wasn’t told this was going to be the case during check-in, was told the a staff member that nothing could be done as there were no rooms available. Towels and bath mat were stained and mold in the shower, was very disappointing.
