Delay with deposit release, otherwise great property, handy to Parramatta CBD

Good location close to Westfield Parramatta & public transport, train station & local eateries. Staff friendly & great views from our high room.

For the price it was fine.

This property is in a great location for access to events at Homebush Olympic Park and the general Parramatta area. With the train station so close it could even be a good spot to explore other areas

We had one night stay at Mantra and it was quite good for what we wanted. Good location, good service. The Hotel is a bit tired.

I had booked a room with a King bed, and was given a room that had a king sized bed made up of 2 singles, both of which had very old mattresses, that the metal frame was poking through when you got in it - in the middle of the bed. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after midnight after getting back to the hotel from an event. Additionally, the aircon wasn't working properly and was unable to cool down the room sufficiently (Sydney in March etc..!). Suffice to say, a very uncomfortable night. The next morning, I approached the desk and was given a room with a much better bed and working aircon, but a much smaller room. On checking out, I asked the receptionist about what they could do about the first night. It seemed she was only able to to allow a future credit if I returned, but as this visit was for a one-off event, (and I'm from NZ), I wouldn't be coming back to Parra any time in the future. She gave me an email address, which I emailed, it took a followup email after getting a 'ticket closed' email before any response and 9 days to get a reply, which was to offer a returning rate of $150 including breakfast (less than the receptionist offered!) which I had already said was of no use. I replied and still no response 4 days later. The staff on the ground were very nice, I believe this is a bottom level priority property within their business, dealing mainly with tour groups who can't complain, which is backed up with the very lax attitude to replying. Would avoid.

Booked a room 7 months in advance, was given a completely different room upon check-in, of lesser value. Wasn’t told this was going to be the case during check-in, was told the a staff member that nothing could be done as there were no rooms available. Towels and bath mat were stained and mold in the shower, was very disappointing.

WORST Experience ever. Air conditioning was not working and we couldn’t sleep for 2 nights. Hotel staff was not helpful. Phone from hotel room didn’t work either. Carpet flooring has water marks several places. This is worst than staying in 2 star motel. I would stay away from Mantra after this experience.

On your website it states the studio room has either two singles or a king when in actual fact they only do queens in the studios. Check-in was slow and after requesting a late check out and it being approved house keeping knocked on our door questioning us why we had not checked out had we had it approved and if we would be using the whole time. The room was dusty carpet not vacuumed properly lamp shades were bent in and not on straight the bed was a good 10 years of squeaking when we rolled over and the bathroom has lots of mould. The over appearance of the place was dated dinghy and not well up kept. Our level had a strong smell of curry coming from a room that went through the whole floor and our room. The price we paid was way to much and we won’t be back

The room was dirty with cobebs over the window. The bathroom was mouldy and the shower did not work (only the bath). The carpet in the hallways was filthy and hotel appeared old with paint chipping away everywhere. The hotel staff were nice, but gave misleading information as to how to get up to the rooms. Our dinner was ruin, when the staff member was looking after his own race but did not serve us our drink, as we waited for the cool drink after walking in a 40 degrees hot day. But the indian doesn't have a clue of common sense or Australia way of life. They hired cheap people so the service will be cheap

Clean room, good location, close to train station and reasonably quiet.Nice breakfast in the restaurant.

The room was very unclean , old and neglected . There was rust and mould shadows in the shower and the carpets were unclean. No housekeeping and lack of staff across the entire hotel . We were waiting for breakfast and waited twenty minutes for a staff member to be in sight in the restaurant and reception desk . There were others waiting and ringing the phone numbers with no answer . Lifts were dirty , glass in lifts looked filfthy. The pool area was unclean and the pool was not clean either . Would never stay here again .

Excellent facilities

Have stayed at the Mantra Parramatta multiple times over the last few years. Its our first choice of place to stay when travelling to Sydney. Close to public transport, only a short train ride to Central station & the price is much better value than anywhere in the CBD. It's a place where every single staff member I've interacted with have been fantastically helpful & pleasant. Some rooms show some age but are clean, comfortable & have everything you need. This is the place I tell anyone who asks to stay at, we'll definitely be back!

Firstly i previously called to ask the height for the parking. Was told 2.5mtrs. Get there sign says 2.7mtrs. Our vehicle id 2.3 metres. Why then did we hit one of those heightswinging bars? Also the breakfast said fried eggs on the sign but it was scrambled eggs that were barely warm and the bacon was stone cold. Also it never stated in the advertisement that the shower was over the bath and that makes it hard for someone with limited mobility. The bed was quite hard and the pillows were worse. Definatly would not stay here again. 2.5mtrs.

The staff were lovely, the room was clean. Excellent position, close to Westfield and the Train station. we arrived we found that the aircon didnt work. It was a hot day so that was quite disappointing and i feel we should probably have received a discount. They did supply us with 2 fans though thankfully.

Clean room, friendly staff, would stay again!

Location was great. Easy walk to station and Westfield shopping centre

Easy checkin. Alround just awesome. Staff was lovely
