DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square West

Hotel was in a very good location. Not far from Penn station or Times Square. Overall Hotel was very good. Loved our room and shower room. Hotel could benefit with a mini fridge and more up to date USB sockets. Lifts are a bit slow and stops at most floors but were ok. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Particularly Steven who was assisted us to extend our check out for up to an hour which helped us tremendously. Carlos was so friendly and stored our luggage yo pick up later. Offering us water and cookies on our way home. There are great local places to eat (Aroma cafe and 2.Bros pizza) and open until late. There is a rooftop bar and gym (but we were out most of the day so did not really experience them but heard great reviews). Would definitely come again and recommend.

Staff was very helpful. Room was quiet, spacious and clean, although I don’t think I ordered a room for disabled. The sliding bathroom door seemed derailed of its track because it was hard to pull. It didn't glide smoothly. 4 elevators were operable. Not a long wait. Great location! I would stay again.

At the time of booking, they said breakfast is complimentary but we had to paid heavily for it. So not satisfied with all this nonsense.

After our bath the water would always seep under the bathroom door and flood the toilet floor, so the floor outside of the bathroom would always be swimming with water and we had to put several towels on the floor every time we took a bath. Also, the phone line in the room was not working properly at all, the phone lines were crossed with the lines of another room, so it kept on double ringing when calls were made to room service and i couldn't make toll free calls from the room. Also, I was told at the front desk that even though i was a Hilton honors member the water given at the front desk was only for gold or higher members and not for my level. Also, the room was very tiny, the space was very small. The wait time for the elevator was a bit long most times to go to the room and to go down to the lobby which made us disheartened when we had to leave the room. Lastly room service was inconsistent with cleaning as some times they did not come to clean the room, and my husband had to call one day after they left the floor to request service.

We appreciated the kindness of two staff members as well as the manager, who spoke French and was very helpful during our stay. However, our arrival experience was disappointing. We had two reservations, and instead of assisting us in locating them, the receptionist seemed dismissive and unhelpful, which set a negative tone for the rest of our stay. The rooms felt small, were not as clean as expected, and the price did not reflect the quality. Additionally, the breakfast offerings were quite expensive for what was provided. Unfortunately, this overall experience did not meet our expectations, and we would not choose to return to this hotel.

The desk staff was wonderful. The area is great. But the condition of the room and bathroom was below standard. We saw a roach at the bar and by the coffee station.

Experiência horrível. O pior hotel que já me hospedei em NY. Funcionários rudes e antipáticos na recepção. Ninguém faz a mínima questão de sorrir e ajudar. Elevadores abarrotados, demorados. Um homeless me abordou na recepção pedindo dinheiro. Cobrança de 10 dólares por encomenda (pacote) que recebe no hotel Tive um problema com uma recepcionista (Joseline) Recebi uma encomenda e fui retirar a noite quando cheguei no hotel, fiquei 10 min esperando e ninguém apareceu… perguntei novamente na recepção e me disseram para esperar mais 1/2 hora. Voltei no dia seguinte pela manhã, a recepcionista (Joseline) me falou que não poderia pegar a encomenda. Me mandou voltar as 15h… Nunca vi isso! Fui muito mal atendida Limpeza super agradou

Friendly welcome from helpful staff and hotel in excellent location. Not the largest of rooms but decent sized for Manhattan. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel and a truly excellent staff. The staff was always warm and very helpful. You couldn't ask for more.

I was waiting to check in for several hours. My check was around 3 PM and I couldn’t check in until 6:30 PM. They didn’t even offer water. Check in line took forever.
