Sofitel London Heathrow

This is my second time staying at Sofitel. It is a fantastic place to relax in comfort. From check in with Jude (a great guy) to having a drink in the bar. This hotel checks off everything on my list that makes me want to stay here again and again. See you next time Sofitel London!!

They need to fix the showers. Temperature kept going up and down over 20 degrees.

Quick stay before an early flight. Beautiful hotel, excellent condition the best location. However I use a CPAP and there was no power, therefore I had to suffer. I was also disappointed that there was no shampoo in the shower. For the price I did not expect these issues.

The Sofitel is an oasis of escape from the busyness of Heathrow and London. A sanctuary retreat where the rooms are of the highest quality, the service is impeccable and the food options perfect.

Good service at check-in and the bar. Nice bar food. check out not so good. Only 1 person on reception waited 5 minutes and then left. Room a bit tired- needs an upgrade.

very nice Hotel, clean and quiet

The lounge and staff across the board where superb. The restaurants however are mediocre at best

Stayed here one night because of a very early flight from Terminal 5. The staff were impeccable throughout, incredible service. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the food at the restaurant was really good. It was a shame you have to pay £40 per person to use the spa though, I would expect to get access considering it’s not a cheap hotel. But other than this, it was excellent.

Convenience

OK for convenient stay for one night for airport departure

It was an easy walk from Terminal 5 for a quick night's sleep for an early morning flight. The check in was easy and the room was wonderful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a flight from London to IAH the next morning so we chose Sofitel London for our stay. It was very convenient due to being connected to the airport. Check in was easy. Staff was very friendly.

Best option if you need a place before a flight out of Terminal 5

Advertised as a luxury hotel, but convenient for a morning flight is about as far as I can go in describing this hotel. It was indeed a “nice” room, but many of the luxury features were either not working (apologies only on calls to reception), or they didn’t exist (such as plugs by the nightstand- they were only on the desk across the room). Hall carpets and elevators were in need of basic, let alone deep, cleaning. Hallway lights were out randomly. A mediocre dinner (albeit our most expensive in London) in the tea room was saved only by exceptional service. It wasn’t a bad stay at all- just not luxury, by any stretch of the imagination. And I will note that the desk staff was always functionally attentive, but usually without smile or any sense of hurry (many times there were several bunched up around a computer while I waited for a minute or two, or my needs, such as repeated reprogramming of my keycard as it would stop working after a short while, which usually required time for the staff around their computer for a couple minutes even for that. My sense is that the booking system is difficult and antiquated). Our bed was comfortable, but on wheels and would move every time we got in. Not a totally bad stay, but one that would take a lot for us to consider again.

Sofitel is always a good bet when you need an overnight layover at Heathrow. Location is great and hotel is comfortable and clean and noise free considering its proximity to the airport.
