Was a perfect little getaway with the kids. Great pool and spa! we loved it. Great food options around and quiet. Only downside was parking, no parks available under and no one would answer the phone to answer where to park. We ended up parking at the city centre and having to hall our stuff to the hotel. Also when we arrived all bags and kids in tow not one person acknowledged us. We ended up doing self check in. Didn’t actually speak to any employees while we were there, which was pretty poor effort on their part.

Clean room, clean and tidy premises, friendly, polite and professional staff, i used self check in and all went well apart from the machine not issuing me keys, but it was still very breezy to get my keys from reception as i did all the preliminary check in and pre auth at the kiosk to the left of reception.
We didnt utilose the breakfast, but my kids used the pool, and although i felt bad for any poeple without kids at the pool, everybody at the hotel pool was so accepting of the school holiday influx of kids in the pool.
We felt very comfortable letting our kids enjoy their time in the pool and NEVER felt that they were being a nuisance. (My kids are quite well behaved but some people dislike happy and rowdy children, which i respect, but makes me feel uncomfortable and uptight if i know)
Id stay again because our stay just felt easy. Thankyou Novotel for an overall lovely experience.

It would be good to have at least two chairs in a room for a couple and also if the single chair actually fitted under the desk. A small bench in the shower cubicle would also be handy to put items on as the small rack above the toilet is too high and not easy to access. It would be good to have more variety of vegetables served rather than two sprigs of broccolini. The parking charge and availability should be made clear when booking as this is an additional charge when comparing motel prices.

Upon arrival, it was mentioned that in was a returning guest (and was thanked). A ‘gift’, consisting of 3 small chocolate bars and 2 bottles of water was waiting in the room (that was nice).
The room we booked was listed as 1 x King bed and 1 x sofa bed.
After arriving, it became apparent that the sofa bed didn’t have any bedding nor was there any spare bedding or pillows in the room to allow us to make up the bed (additionally, after pulling the sofa bed out, it was quite clear that under the sofa bed had not been vacuumed in some time, evident by quite a few pieces of popcorn, biscuit crumbs, and chips).
A visit to reception was taken and a lovely staff member attended to make up the sofa bed and then also retrieved a vacuum cleaner to sort out under the bed. 10/10 for that staff member! 3/10 for the hotel…

Had a wonderful time with my son. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was great, the staff were friendly. We really enjoyed the pool, spa, gym and breakfast. Easy walk into town to food and shopping and very close to the lake where we went for a beautiful bike ride.The only thing I could fault was the paid parking which would have been a significant extra cost if we had stayed longer which we both wanted to!
