Novotel London West

I had originally booked a two-night stay through Expedia. However, my work at Charing Cross Hospital ended a day earlier than planned, so I needed to check out after the first night. When I approached the counter, I specifically asked the staff member Waqar if he could assist me. He confirmed he was available, so I proceeded. After handing over my keys and receiving confirmation that the checkout was complete, I simply requested a printed receipt. At this point, Waqar’s demeanour changed dramatically. He became quite impolite, claiming he now had other customers waiting and instructing me to go to the next counter. When I explained that a printout would only take a moment, he began arguing with me, questioning why I was checking out early. To be honest, the interaction felt more like an interrogation than a standard hotel service. It seemed as though I was being questioned about “getting bail a day early” rather than simply concluding my professional stay. Despite my explanation that I was in a hurry to get home after my shift, he continued to be argumentative and dismissive. Lady next to him counter was also dismissive saying printout doesn’t take 5 mins and covering the person but in fact it just took less than 2 seconds. Staff is rude as I could read few comments on other websites and they have neither improved it nor are they apologetic.

Very clean, but tired/aged rooms, reflects pricing. Overpriced drinks, best off going to local pubs, convenient location for Hammersmith tube station.

Lift too far away from rooms,

We arrived very early before check-in and, although our room wasn't ready, Alexandra on the front desk was very welcoming and friendly and the Duty Manager took care of us until we could check in. On check out the following day, Maria and Rebecca were extremely helpful. The room was large and comfortable. We have stayed at the Novotel London West before and it's always been a good experience.

Broken tiles on the side of the bath. Coffee stain down the wall. The webbing on the pullout bed was broken on one side. I've stayed here before but the rooms are starting to need some TLC.

Fantastic experience at reception, well looked after for a rare night away. Great facilities, and nice room.

Room was average.

Found hairs on the bathroom floor, so had to have housekeeping come & clean, bed was not great, both of us woke up with sore backs, would be nice if room for 2 has 2 comfortable seats or couch to sit on, rather than one of us sitting on the bed. Toilet was chipped & shower controls missing cover plate & carpet stained, so overall room is tired.

Staff were great on arrival. Rooms was large if decoration was a bit dated. TV was big as well. Gym was well stocked for a hotel one. Hotel is well located near Hammersmith station for easy access into London

Check in was easy Shame they no longer have sweets on the counter in the mornings, and no brown sauce at breakfast was a shame, but a small thing. The waitress looking after the members are at breakfast was superb, much more professional than previous staff in the members area. Offered coffee every day with a smile, when previously since staff didn’t even acknowledge your existence (forgotten her name sorry)

Was initially over charged but this was corrected. Reception was v nice and spacious. Staff polite. However when entering the room i have to say i was disappointed. V dated dressing chair was torn. The phone charge socket wasn't charging my phone. The bath was v small and shower door had a lot of yellow limescale. It was again v dated. Bed was comfy. Upon calling reception to check on my room service breakfast its wasnt putting me through for some reason so i had to use my mobile to call the mainline number. Phone keys again dated and not clean. Breakfast was v nice and hot. Gentleman was v polite and helpful who brought it to the room. Could do with more complimentary tea even though i was told to press 0 and more would be given it would have just been nice to have more than one in the first place. Rooms were definitely not soundproof because i could hear the people laughing and talking in the next room. .
