A Unique Stay with a Cinematic Vibe If you’re looking for a cookie-cutter hotel, this isn't it! The aesthetic is fascinating—a striking Gothic style with corridors that feel like a high-end hospital ward straight off a movie set. While the atmosphere is a bit moody, the rooms themselves are impressively quiet and very spacious, providing a great sense of comfort. We also thoroughly enjoyed the excellent breakfast spread and generally good onsite facilities. There were a few technical hiccups during our stay, however. The steam room was a bit of a letdown as it produced very little steam, and our room seemed to have a "ghost in the machine"—the electric curtains had a habit of opening randomly in the middle of the night. We also found the TV unplugged upon arrival, likely because it shares the same quirk of turning itself on and off. Short walk from central station, this hotel has it all. We loved our stay and I’m sure this was the comfiest bed I had ever stayed in. Perfect location for seeing the sights. You didn’t hear a thing in our room and had the best nights sleep. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. 10/10 for us

We booked this hotel for the spa facilities and were very disappointed. We weren’t told at any point that the pool was out of order, and nothing was mentioned at check-in. We were later told it would open the next day, but it didn’t. The jacuzzi and steam room were also out of order all weekend. Staff repeatedly said the facilities would open later, but they never did. We were told we could use another hotel’s pool 10 minutes away, with no real apology or clear information. Communication was poor throughout. The room was large and the beds were comfortable, but the hotel is overpriced for what it offers, particularly when the spa facilities were out of order all weekend. We wouldn’t stay again. When we returned to collect bags after leaving them in their storage for the day, they couldn't find our bags and told us they had multiple locations they stored them in within the hotel and needed to hunt for them. Overall, a disappointing stay. Avoid this hotel.

Because of a snow storm in the states we had to extend our holiday by two days unexpectedly and chose this hotel. I wish we booked for the entire holiday as it was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Staff friendly, room clean and spacious and overall great experience. Loved the free minibar in the room that was refilled daily and staff even came around every night to see if we needed anything.
