Emerald Beach Resort

open to beach goers and all customer service was great.

I like the accessibility to the beach. It’s close enough to everything but far from the hustle and bustle of Charlotte Amalie.

The rooms were kind of outdated. A refrigerator did not work. However, the staff did bring us a cooler. The bed not so great. Very uncomfortable

The staff at the front desk was amazing, extremely friendly and courteous. House keeping needs to do a full sweep(walk through) of the room before leaving. There were some items left behind from the previous guest/s.

My daughter and I had a room in the last building #4000s. During the day it was fine, but at night, there was poor lighting in the hallway that our room was on, which made us a little worried. The 3000s building had way better lighting. We had to be very careful since they have many stairs, with poor lighting and poorly placed light sensors, which puts people at risk or falling down the stairs. The room was nice, it looked remodeled, but some maintenance was needed for some small items. The front desk staff, some where friendly, but others where not. The Caribbean Fusion restaurant had good food, but the service was very slow compared to US standards. The new manager was very competent and friendly and worked hard to make things right. The entrance of the Hotel can use some cleaning, especially next to the pickle ball courts, they have debris and construction trash sitting around. Safety can also be improved. The beach has public access and the restaurant is open, and right in front of the beach, which is very nice. During our 1st breakfast there, what appeared to be a drugged up man got a little to close to my daughter and me, and started taking pictures of my daughters breakfast, which was really creepy. The bartender called for help right away and they walked the man out. After that, I was very nervous when walking the dark hallways to our room. The beach was amazing, crystal clear calm waters and lots of fun activities (Jet skis, etc). Pool was beautiful!

Nice outdoor restaurant right by the beach. Pool area very pretty and pretty landscaping throughout property. Did not like that beach chairs were not provided, but were an extra cost by outside vendor

The property it has amazing views from every room. Even though it's not extremely updated, we still had a nice stay Rhe only downfall is it took us over an hour to check in. The staff was friendly, but very, very slow.

The property was close to shopping/ dining options and the beach was fairly private.

The bed sheet is so itchy me. There were a lot of mosquitoes around. There was a weird guy walking around and I don't feel comfortable

I have only ended a stay early about 3 times, this is one of them. Check in was less than clean, fyi you can’t use virtual card numbers or an Apple Card. The room was mediocre at best. The bed was like sleeping on pallet of cardboard boxes. The pillows, like the Backstreet Boys, were well past their prime. There were literally no places to hang wet towels. The shower pressure was non existent, and the hot water was down right unpredictable. It took a solid 3 min to get hot water and it was scolding hot, and without touching anything after 60ish seconds it would go cold again. It would oscillate between these two extremes. The AC was a ductless unit, but the compressor was on the balcony which meant if you wanted to keep the room cool, you were blasting the balcony with hot air. The “coffee” bar only served cold style coffees using cold brew that was made days previous. The internet was 1mbps on a good day, not a joke or exaggeration. All of these issues were raised with the front desk and no action was taken. The beach was lovely, not lovely enough to stay there again.

The hotel is wonderfully located near the airport but on a nice beach. It has a beautiful pool and the rooms are comfortable. We did have an issue with checkin. We arrived an hour early and I was told they would check to see if my room was available and call me. I was told I could go to the restaurant or bar. We waited until 5:30 with no call so we went to the desk and I told them this and there was no explanation. Also be aware that if your room isn't close, you will be dragging your luggage up and down stairs.

Oceanfront location was fantastic. Time to get new mattresses for sure. Temp for hot water in bathroom varied from cool to hot. Cruise ships bring passengers to the property once a week which is a good day to go out on an adventure as a guest of the property. Airport proximity was great as well. Clean up the jet ski area on the east side of the property as it was junky.

I love this place. This was my second time and again it was lovely. Views from everywhere!

It isn't really an acceptable location with lots of steps up and down. The staff accommodated us for the second day to a room easier to get to. That made a difference. If you can't walk up and down stairs I'd say this place would be difficult to manage. But lovely staff. Clean beach.

Alot of activities right on the beach

We had an amazing stay! Everyone at the front desk was so friendly. We were on the beach every day. Food was great. The bartenders were all wonderful and friendly. Jet Ski Adventures - to the left when going onto the beach - were the highlight of the trip!

Beds are terrible very outdated needs a lot of repairs

This resort needs some TLC. The location is good if you don't mind the noise of the planes a few times a day. It was actually cool to watch the planes take off while floating in the water. It would be good for kids who like planes. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are updated, linens were clean and refreshed daily, but the chair, bed skirt and couch cushions need to be replaced. The food was good at the restaurant, but the service was poor. We ate dinner there twice and breakfast 2 mornings. The food was fresh and tasty. However, they were short staffed every day and employees were not happy. The bar area needs to be fixed, tiles missing from the walls and it was not cleaned daily. Bartenders were miserable. We received a voucher for a free drink upon arrival were a party of 2 and received 1 voucher. After the bartender served the free drink, he did not ask us if wanted another drink. Served the drink and walked and didn't come back for a while. Beach was beautiful, and it was close to town with all the shopping. The pool was nice but there were no tables in between the lounges to put your drink down. It was gated, so only people staying at the hotel were allowed in. Which was a positive on the days the cruise ships docked. If you need to stay in a fancy hotel, this is not the place for you. If you just want to be on the beach and are willing to overlook all the imperfections, it is an affordable getaway. It's good for a few days to just relax on the beach.
