Bogor Station

The Bogor to Yogyakarta trip can be started from Bogor Station. It was established in 1881 by the Netherlands from Staats Spoorwegen (SS) company. This colonial heritage station is located in Cibogor, Bogor District Tengah, Bogor City, West Java. It can be accessed easily by transportation modes, such as buses, taxis, public motorbike taxis, and public transportation.

Bogor Station has an area of approximately 5,955 square meters and retains its majesty despite its age. Overall, the structure of Bogor Station is divided into two main parts, they are the main building and the emplacement building.

The architecture of the main building has Indische Empire styles with symmetrical features and an emphasis on the center character. Meanwhile, for the entrance gate and the main lobby are designed in a neo-classic style. It can also be seen in wooden-covered windows.

Tugu Station

Yogyakarta Station, commonly known as Tugu Station, is one of the main entrances to Yogyakarta Town. Its location only 300 meters from Malioboro Street makes this station a starting point to explore some tourist places in Yogyakarta. This big station provides some transportation choices, such as pedicabs, public motorbike taxis, taxis, and Transjogja buses with bus stops near the station.

Just like Bogor Station, Tugu Station also had been built by Staats Spoorwegen (SS) company, and it started operating on 20th July 1887. Its uniqueness is in its structure. The building is surrounded by platforms and railway lines in the north and south. Front facade buildings have Indische Empire-style architecture, which was famous in the late 19th century. Meanwhile, in 1925, the entrance gate of Tugu Station had been renovated. It also added eight square masts there.
