Cianjur Station is a class II train station located on Jalan Yulis Usman, Sayang, Cianjur, West Java. It is the station with the highest passenger density on the Cianjur–Padalarang route. The station has facilities such as a parking area for motorcycles and cars, a Mushola, and toilets, including a disabled-friendly toilet.
While still serving passengers, Cianjur Station has been designated as a cultural heritage site by the Central Unit for Conservation and Architectural Design of Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI). This is because the station was built by Staatsspoorwegan, a state-owned railway company managed by the Dutch East Indies colonial government.
Cianjur Station used to serve the Cianjuran train on the Padalarang-Cianjur route. However, this train was stopped in 2013. The station was reopened in 2014 for KA Siliwangi, which operates on the Sukabumi-Cipatat route.
To reach Cianjur Station, take KA Siliwangi or use public transportation options such as Angkutan Kota (Angkot), ojek, or other online transportation services. If you are traveling by car, there is a parking area available.
Cipatat Station is a class III railway station in Cipatat, West Bandung. It is located not far from the Cianjur-Padalarang highway. If you wish to continue your journey to Bandung, you can take Angkutan Kota to Padalarang Station for a fare of only Rp7.000. From Padalarang Station, you can take KA Bandung Raya to Bandung for approximately Rp5.000.
Cipatat Station was reopened in September 2020 as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of the KA Siliwangi route, which operates on the Sukabumi-Cipatat round-trip route. The station is still actively serving passengers and has been recognized as a cultural heritage site by the Central Unit for Conservation and Architectural Design of Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) due to its use of the original building.
To reach Cipatat Station, you can take an ojek motor or use other online transportation services for a more convenient trip. There are many restaurants near the station where you can purchase what you need before traveling to Bandung.
In addition to using travel cars or shuttle cars, you can now travel from Cianjur to Bandung by train. Using the Sukabumi-Cipatat route, you can take KA Siliwangi to Cipatat Station in West Bandung. The journey from Cianjur Station to Cipatat Station takes approximately 45 minutes. The ticket price for KA Siliwangi is around Rp3.000 per person for a single trip.
