As one of the cities in East Java Province, Jember is supported by very strategic modes of transportation, one of which is the train. There are three stations in Jember City that serve train travel routes from Jember to Probolinggo, namely Tanggul Station (TGL), Rambipuji (RBP), and Jember Station (JR). These three stations are under the management of Operational Area (DAOP) IX Jember.

Jember Station, located at Jl. Wijaya Kusuma No. 5, Jemberlor, Patrang, Jember, East Java, is a large and magnificent class B railway station. Located at an altitude of +89 meters above sea level, the station is quite close to Jember Square, making it a very important transit hub for the community. The station also serves various classes of train travel in various destinations in Java, including to Probolinggo. 

Before 2015, Jember Station had a unique characteristic bell with two tones like a child's toy and a yellow siren light to welcome the arrival of trains. Furthermore, starting from 2018, Jember Station welcomes the arrival of trains with the strains of traditional Madurese music entitled "Gelleng Sokoh" in an instrumental version combined with typical Jember patrol music.

Meanwhile, as a large class B train station, Jember Station has various supporting facilities for prospective passengers. Probolinggo Station (PB), is a class I railway station located in the heart of Probolinggo, East Java, precisely on Jl. KH. Mansyur No.26, Mangunharjo, Mayangan, Probolinggo City, East Java Province. Built around 1897 by Staatsspoorwegen (SS), this station is a silent witness to the long history of railways in Indonesia.

Probolinggo Station is located at an altitude of +5 meters above sea level (masl) and is included in the Jember Operational Area (DAOP) IX. This station is also the station that connects the Banyuwangi area with Surabaya City. Not far from the station building, there is a square and a harbor. 

As the only station serving passenger train travel, Probolinggo Station is supported by quite complete facilities. These include parking areas, independent ticket printing machines, waiting rooms, prayer rooms, toilets, information centers, direct ticket purchases at counters, health services, commercial/shopping areas, breastfeeding rooms, smoking areas, and areas for charging batteries.

Starting from Ranggajati Train, Tawang Alun, Sri Tanjung, Pandalungan, Wijaya Kusuma, Probowangi, Logawa, to Blambangan Ekspress with various prices and departure schedules.

The earliest train departing from Jember to Probolinggo is Ranggajati Train, at 05.15 WIB and arriving at around 06.59 WIB in Probolinggo. Meanwhile, the most evening train for this route is Blambangan Ekspress, which departs at 21.58 WIB and arrives at around 23.41 WIB.
