Departure Station in Purworejo

Purworejo has three train stations that serve the Purworejo to Yogyakarta route, namely Kutoarjo Station (KTA), Jenar (JN), and Wojo (WJ). The locations of these stations are connected by railway tracks and are arranged sequentially from Kutoarjo Station towards the east. Consequently, the number of train departures each day will always be the same from Kutoarjo to Yogyakarta.

Kutoarjo Station is a large Class A railway station located in Semawung Daleman, Kutoarjo. As the main station in Purworejo, it serves intercity, agglomeration, freight, and Prambanan Ekspres commuter line trains. 

Kutoarjo Station is the westernmost station under the management of KAI Commuter Region VI Yogyakarta. Passengers can reach this station by taking Trans Jateng BRT route P1 with the destination of Purworejo.

Another station option is Jenar Station located in Bragolan within the operational area of Region VI Yogyakarta. There is also Wojo Station situated in Dadirejo, Bagelen, which is the easternmost railway station in Purworejo. The location of Wojo Station is quite close to Yogyakarta International Airport and can even be reached by shuttle bus.

Unlike Kutoarjo Station, Jenar and Wojo Stations currently only serve local commuter line Prameks trains. Nevertheless, the facilities available are quite comprehensive, including waiting rooms, ticket counters, toilets, self-service ticket printing machines, and more.

Jogja has many stations that are actively operating, including Brambangan (BBN), Lempuyangan (LPN), Sentolo (STL), Wates (WT), and Yogyakarta (YK). Among these, only Yogyakarta Station and Wates Station serve the Purworejo to Yogyakarta route.

Wates Station is located in Wates, Kulon Progo, the first destination for trains from Purworejo in the Yogyakarta region. As the westernmost station in DIY (Special Region of Yogyakarta), it serves both intercity and local (commuter line) passenger train operations.

Another station option is Yogyakarta Station, which is the main station in Yogyakarta and also the busiest station outside Jabodetabek. As the main hub, this station serves various classes of intercity trains, YIA airport trains, commuter lines, and Prambanan Ekspres.

To reach these two train stations, passengers can use Trans Jogja, Teman Bus Yogyakarta, or various other transportation options. The available facilities are also quite comprehensive, including cafes, luggage storage lockers, massage chairs, a playground, and other basic amenities.
