Very nice hotel with beautiful onsens. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

I would have stayed 3 more days! Amazing experience! The food was great! The room and amenities were incredible! A few cons are: I had problems was the shuttle from Gora station. I couldn’t find where to get it so I just took a taxi. Another thing is that you will need your physical credit card. Also and this is common in Japan there is only CNN in english but you can connect your Netflix account.

The hotel's onsen are absolutely beautiful; you can enjoy both, and while they offer completely different concepts, they are both spectacular! The interior garden is lovely, too. Overall, the hotel is nice, though it is perhaps starting to look a bit worn due to age. The staff were always very attentive and friendly. The ice cream machine was a nice bonus!

Exceptional stay. The staff were so attentive and kind - everyone went above and beyond to make our honeymoon extra special. The food is absolutely fabulous and high quality. All the facilities from the room to the onsen were brilliant. We’d love to return one day.

This was a splurge for our Japan trip. I haven’t seen all of them, but I would say this is probably the best Onsen out there. It sits at the top of the mountain. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Staff is perfection. Service is perfection. Thank you for such a great time Hakone. Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life.

We had a wonderful stay at Ten-yu. Our family absolutely loved the experience, it was incredibly relaxing, and the grounds were immaculate and peaceful to walk through. The food was fantastic, with a great variety of thoughtfully prepared options that made every meal enjoyable. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind. Having a private onsen on the balcony was a highlight for our family. It allowed us to spend quality time together while relaxing in a serene setting. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Ten-yu to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious, and memorable stay.

Lovely hot springs resort with beautiful gardens!

Room was clean, and service was great. Of course the reason to stay in this resort is for the hot springs. My room had a private bath on the balcony. Filling it was simply pressing a button, which filled the tub with hot springs water in 15 minutes. It was perfect to soak in privacy. My package had dinner and breakfast buffets. Both had a good selection, including alcoholic beverages. Food did start running out at the end of the dinner buffet. If I return, I would probably look into other food options for dinner.

The service was excellent. The check in/out process was rather laborious. Many people are “parked” in the lounge until their turn is up. There was an afternoon ensemble in the lobby, while talented, was very loud- not something I would expect in a spa. The baths were wonderful and beautiful in the evening. Breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious.

Les repas sous forme de buffet sont de très qualité et variés. Nous avons profité du jardin intérieur en soirée pour une balade en amoureux, parmi nos coups de coeur lors de notre voyage au Japon

The two onsens are stunning, especially the open air portions. Watched the sunrise over the mountains during an early morning soak in the infinity pool like onsen.

The hot springs are exceptional, the cuisine is superb, and the location is unparalleled. This was an outstanding experience.
