Good hotel and great for airport

Wedding reception just below room kept us awake until 0100 which was not appreciated as we had to be up at 0430. The whole reason for booking the hotel was for a good night’s sleep before the flight. Three trips to complain to Reception did not stop the loud music

Great location as linked to the terminal so perfect for evening bag drop and early flight.

Beautiful hotel. Right in the airport so great for flying next day. Definitely recommend

Great position and good clean room. The corridors are tired and check-in a bit chaotic though the staff were trying hard to clear the backlog.

Clean room. Modern atmosphere. Issues: No electrical outlets next ot bed. Had to ask for an extension cord to connect CPAP machine. Had to request US style outlet adapter. Request for additional water bottels was not fulfilled.

I love this hotel. It's so convient when travelling to/ from terminal 5. Staff are very friendly and rooms are confortable

The Sofitel LHR is a convenient place to stay when traveling thru Heathrow. Clean and modern with a friendly and professional staff to assist you with your stay. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Highly recommended.

Executive room. Not set up for three. Took an hour to be set up and bedding had stains on. Took 45 minutes to get through to reception and then for the covers to be remade for our child. Really poor service

The Sofitel Heathrow is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and remarkably convenient for the terminal—making it an ideal choice for an airport hotel. ​My only real issue was the dining experience. While I understand the need to serve a high volume of guests quickly, the food clearly felt pre-made or frozen rather than freshly prepared. Paying over £100 for two adult pasta dishes and a kids' meal for microwave-level quality is unacceptable, especially for a self-proclaimed 5-star hotel. Don't let the chef hats fool you; save your money and eat elsewhere.

Excellent place just a few minutes walking to terminal 5

The proximity to terminal 5 cant be beat and it was a really nice room. Check in was quick and the clerk was helpful and made us dinner reservations when we got our room keys.

Our stay was mostly fine but we did find the leaking shower, absence of hand soap and no UK plugs (only type D typical in South Asia or Africa) anywhere near the beds really quite poor for a hotel rated at 5*.

The room was clean but tired and showing signs of age, which is a shame for the price point. Very unhelpful that there were no plug sockets on either side of the bed to charge devices.

As usual, we stayed over one night to catch our next flight to Grand Cayman in the morning. Our room was a generous sized king. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bathroom fittings were all of excellent quality and perform perfectly. I did report that the mattress was at its end of life and the concierge thanked me for informing him.

We booked for 2 adults and 1 child in Expedia. When we arrived to check in we were advised that it was showing as a child aged 0 and therefore a cot had been provided. Our son is 7 and required a bed. We were advised this was an extra charge of £35. We were tired from a days travelling and therefore paid it but on highlighting this to Expedia, we have had a refund. I checked and the price doesn’t change when alternating between a baby or an older child so not sure what happened here. The receptionist showed no empathy or initiative for our situation. The room was fine, we paid for the upgraded room for space but it was relatively tight still. Bathroom was really nice. Two complimentary bottles of sparkling water in the fridge but a bottle of still would have been a nice touch. If getting an early flight from Heathrow again, I would stay again as it’s close and convenient to the airport without requiring transport etc.

The Sofitel has the convenience of being located right within the airport but, beyond that, I see no other reason to stay there than a one night location/convenience based stay. Our suitcases took FOREVER to be brought up to our room. We couldn’t get ready to step out for dinner and I kept calling, offering to simply come down and get our own suitcases vs waiting endlessly, only to be told “please hold” or “we’ll call you back.” When we finallly made it to dinner, my daughter’s serving of salad had TWO fruit flies in it. Their “top” restaurant was average at best. The bed was comfy.

Excellent place to stay before a flight from T5 and we will continue to do so as long as prices remain affordable. The rooms are comfortable and the restaurant is decent. One thing to be aware of is the curiously arranged and numbered rooms. This place is the hotel version of Charles DeGaulle airport! After many stays we have just about worked it out but we encountered many baffled guests going up and down in the lifts trying to find their rooms. One set of elevators was out of action which added to the confusion. We had a pretty long walk through a series of closed and heavy doors to reach our room. This might seem like petty carping but when you are older and carrying luggage it isn’t ideal.
