It is my best experience forever staying in Banff. I will start staying here whenever coming to Banff. The room is wonderful clean and has everything I need like balcony, BBQ area, kitchen. We even have bus day pass for our travel to downtown which addressed my concerns of staying away from downtown. Front desk lady is super helpful and friendly. I need check-in early for my work and she helped with calling the cleaning lady to have my room ready ahead of time.

Great location that was central to everything. Loved the Rocky Mountain soaps and lotions. You can’t beat the free shuttle right out front with lots of space to spread out over 2 floors.

Staff was great. Laundry was useful. Best larr is the bus pass. No driving into and out of Banff. Loved our stay and can't wait to come back.

The place was not clean. There was a lot of dust, the kitchen’s toaster dishwasher, oven etc. and were old and in poor condition, and there were many dead mosquitoes and bugs stuck on the walls.

Excellent 3 night stay at TMR for the full family with quite tall teenagers. The kitchen is fully equipped, the air-conditioning works properly, the mattresses are soft-firm and the best of all-the unlimited bus travel pass with the route 2 bus picking up right at the doorstep is a superb boon!

The garbage was overflowing in the kitchen. The pool was tiny and freezing cold and it’s next to check-in so not very private. Not all rooms have couches but could. The property especially outside looked very worn and needs updating. Very far from banff. Positives: remodeled bathroom and quiet

It was nice to have a small kitchen as we cooked daily for breakfast with eggs & bacon b4 heading out. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were salt & pepper for cooking. There was plenty of coffee in the room. Wish they have a bit more substitute sugar of choices. But the yellow packages with regular sugar made my coffee sweet enough. The bathroom had plenty of towels to use. The beds were perfect to sleep 3 to 4 people. Parking was a bit tight but we were able to find parking daily. The maintenence crew fix things quickly & efficiently as soon as we made the report. The front desk even gave us the free bus passes which we didn't end up using. Overall it was a wonderful experience. The resort is located at the foot pf a mountain and every morning when I open the window I have this beautiful grand scenery which is breathtaking!

Property was maintained by staff very great way. Housekeeping staff did great job for our room. Front staff was very helpful and patiently explained about town. Very best suggestion if resort can start their own transport service or paid shuttle to and from from centre park circle or downtown to resort. Can be optional with booking and paid service for a flat charge like 10-15$ one way. Hotel guest can book . Will be very convenient option for guest with elders and kids . Hard to find parking around town and also transit buses are very busy hard to hop in and out. Second thing if play structure area can be enhanced with more rides and swings. That will make more fun for kids.

Room and staff were awesome. beautiful property, we even saw elk right outside the hotel!! Only complaint was the pool was so cold my kids couldn’t even swim in it. Other than that it was great!!

All hotels in Banff in July are gonna be ridiculously expensive. That's just how it is. You get what you pay for. However, Tunnel Mountain Lodge is run by nice people who actually care about the quality of your stay. I highly recommend this place. A+

This was the second time we stayed in the condo unit. It’s perfect for a family and can cook your own meals. On site laundry is also a bonus! Downside, there is no AC in the units. The pool was very cold and the hot tub wasn’t working. The sauna was very nice though.

Do not recommend. Office staff not responsive to an issue at property. Asked to have them contact me, after not hearing from them for two days after checkout, Expedia got involved and then got a very indignant response from the manager. I would not recommend staying here unless it was a last resort. Not acceptable to be treated as we were by office manager (hoping to blow issue under the rug and then saying our issue was a non-issue even though her maintenance man confirmed our air conditioner didn’t work.). It was a hot July day, and we picked this place specifically for the air conditioning. If the air conditioner was working why didn’t the maintenance person get it working for us? The office did not provide fans in lieu of air conditioner not working. Paid WAY too much for this to happen. I am sure they will have a response where they don’t take any responsibility and push this back on me. Do not recommend.

Picked this hotel specifically for the air conditioning (not all places have air). The air worked the first night. After hiking all day and returning to the room, the air was not working. We immediately called the desk and reported this. They sent a facilities person who confirmed it was broken. We asked for a fan, but they never provided one. The next day at checkout I requested a partial refund. I was told I needed to talk to the manager and she would call me. Two days later, not hearing from her, I contacted Expedia for help in dealing with w this matter. They contacted the manager and were told that since it was a prepaid room, there would be no price adjustment. I then received an email from the manager (after Expedia contacted her) and she informed me that the air unit was working (which doesn’t seem possible since her maintenance person said it was broken when he came to our room; seems convenient to say that to not look at fault). Overall, I would never recommend this place given they didn’t provide a fan and didn’t respond to me in a timely manner. I feel that they wouldn’t have contacted me if Expedia didn’t get involved. This was by far the worst stay on our vacation. There are better options for this price point. It is an older facility and overall an unfortunate experience for us.
