Tunnel Mountain Resort

Great location at the top of tunnel mountain. It was nice and quiet, and our stay included bus passes so we could take the bus into the downtown area - there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel. Pet friendly as well!

Was extremely comfortable

Room was clean and nice. Amenities were limited but we were able to use the hot tub at the neighbouring resort.

Our room was clean and staff was very friendly. There were enough parking spots while we were staying.

Room 161. We wiped down the doors, light switches, cabinet handles and other areas. The cloth was black as they were never cleaned. Sofa armrests and head rests were darkened and dirty. Room layout was very functional but felt very quickly wiped down. Smelled a bit like a hockey bag. Clean sheets and bedding. Bathroom and kitchen were clean (except the cabinet handles that were sticky). The heat comes up through the floor in the bedroom. Difficult to adjust the temperature. We kept the windows open on the deck area to keep it cool. We used the floor fans to direct the air to the bedroom. Fans had never been cleaned. We didn’t use the hot tub as it was covered up up with plywood. The steam room smelled like sewer and was dirty. We have stayed in several hotels throughout the years throughout North America during long road trips and been in all kinds of hotels, motels and resorts. This is in the bottom five on our list. This room needs to be deep cleaned and not just turned around for the next nights stay. We have only stayed in Banff one other time and it was about the same price and much better. We visited with two other couples this trip and they had similar rooms with the same issues. It has the potential to be a great place to stay, just every needs to be really deep cleaned.

Nice, but small unit for 6. Rugs need a shampoo and cleaning is sketchy- dust, windows, kitchen area need a deep clean. parking was great for our unit- some people were having difficulty parking SUVs and trucks. Pool was quite cold and not very clean. A disappointment as the grandchildren were excited about it initially and then didn't want to swim because of the water temperature. Changerooms also needed more consistent attention. Staff were friendly and helpful. It seems very laid back, although I liked that the quiet hours were enforced.

The parking was good

Family-friendly resort in a beautiful location just up the hill from downtown (easy bus access). The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The exterior of the property is a bit dated, however the rooms seemed updated and were very clean. The kitchenette was great to have. The fitness center needs an update, but you are probably in town for skiing or hiking anyway.

I always enjoy banff.

Booked a pet friendly cabin for a few days, great check in, nice cabin, nice to have a closed in patio

We stayed during the winter, and the staff did an excellent job keeping the property safe. Snow was removed from the driveways and walking paths daily allowing access in and out without an issue. My room was clean and the location provided us access to go hiking in a nearby trail, the bus stop was at the entrance of the property to take you to downtown or to a ski location.

Every year will go back there

Booked a one night stay on a ski vacation. Very warm welcome from the staff, and a super easy check in process. We were given an upgraded experience due to our expedia level, which included some complementry items such as a bottle of wine. The property is nice, but there is certainly room for improvement. When we opened the door, it was quite a nice little place, however you could tell it had been renovated....... either in haste or tight budget. Flooring gaps around all the registers is a prime example. The room also included amenities such as local soaps/shampoos/conditioners, or at least the bottles were there, but a number of the products were empty. We had to ask for toilet paper as the unit had no stock, and the roll left for our arrival was........ lacking. Overall a good stay, but missing many of those "easy" to catch items.

Warm and welcoming staff. I am satisfied with the service. My kids loved our room and I loved the kitchenette. It’s a plus that the place is accessible via Roam bus - my kids enjoyed this too. The only downside is that there is no hot tub beside the swimming pool, so my kids didn’t get to enjoy swimming, because they felt cold. But other than this, everything is perfect.

We love coming to this hotel because they treat our dogs so well, the mountain cabin is amazing, great fireplace free firewood, always accommodating and great staff

The staff was super welcoming and kind. We travelled with a pet and everything was so adaptable. We wouldn't even known we were in a pet room if we didn't ask for one! So clean
