Tunnel Mountain Resort

Staff were amazing, super friendly and attentive. We had an ant infestation on our front deck, called and a they came right away to address. Our toaster was broken, called the front desk, they had a new toaster (right out of the box) delivered immediately. Tunnel Mountain Resort is clean and affordable. We had stayed here approximately 17 years ago, the resort is showing its age, but many upgrades have been happening. The bathroom is newly renovated and there is a new tile backsplash in the kitchen area. The beds are comfortable. But, we did notice that the loft beds were on the short side. My son is 6’2 and he had to sleep sideways to fit. So definitely not made for taller folks. We were pleasantly upgraded to a cabin with a view apron arrival. Pool is on the small side, so we did not use it, but good for families with small children. Loved the complimentary transit passes. They came in handy when going to the township. If you are lookiing at doing making your own meals in, kitchen well appointed. Overall, a good experience.

The kitchen items were a bit tired from prior use. The carpet pattern was very dated which illustrates the need for a few updates. Bathrooms were fine other than very loud fans. It was too warm at night for my tastes and the fans are not the same as AC. The loft added a nice extra amount of room and when friends came over we could visit in the sitting area on the main level. The washer and dryer are paid for at the front desk and then you go back to the other building and push start on the machine. There are only two washers and two dryers, first come first served. Their are only bus stop is right out front and a complimentary ticket is provided by the Lodge, which was very helpful. We also walked the hill from town, and took the stairway path with 146 steps connecting it to Antelope Street just off Banff Avenue. We also walked to friends motor home at the nearby Tunnel Mt Trailer Court, a short walk on a gravel path.

The room was ok. Not the cleanest had an odor to it and very dusty. Both doors didn't work properly and fridge was damaged. Staff was good very quick and friendly. For the price I would have expected better for the room quality.

Nice place to stay

This is my second time visiting Banff, and compared to the last hotel I stayed at (for the same price per night), Tunnel Mountain Resort was a completely different experience. I love how the suite is designed, with a separate kitchen, bedroom, and patio, which made my stay feel so much more like home. The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful. I truly appreciated having my room cleaned every day. If I had to list all my favorite things about Tunnel Mountain Resort, I’d be here all day! I highly recommend choosing this place for your stay in Banff.

Really enjoyed.

I wasnt expecting to get a basement room for the price I paid. It showed photos of cabin like houses, and it didnt really tell you if you were booking that or a actual room. Pool was ice cold. Room was okay, very small window in a basement with horrible views. Overall, disappointed

Great location with beautiful views. Close to town but offer complimentary bus passes and the stop is right out front. Friendly staff, lots of free parking and spacious rooms. Would highly recommend.

Great location, very good room and super friendly and helping staff.

It was second time to stay here. Amazing Tunnel mountain view and such a healing time with all of us, specially for my father in law recover health during the staying. He wish to stay 1month, really doesn't wanna go back home. Very quiet, comfortable, easy to get on roam bus to downtown free, family-friendly. I will visit again. Thank you so much.

Wonderful place to stay for families -convenient to downtown Banff with Roam bus stop just outside the resort. Quieter neighborhood, convenient kitchen and space for a home away from home comfort.

The best place to stay for any special occasion. The staff was arguably the friendliest amongst all the places I have stayed and they went beyond expectations to make our stay memorable.

We absolutely love this resort. It’s perfect for our needs. Everything we needed were there, national parks nearby, bus shuttles are nearby, Banff is beautiful place and beautiful waterfalls nearby. I highly recommended this resort. (We forgot our white envelope there and I hope the maids will find it and mail it to us). Fingers crossed !!!

The staff were really helpful and gave us information about the town too. Check-ins and check-outs were easy and quick. Rooms were clean and spacious. Overall, had a great experience.

One of the best lodging we’ve ever stayed at. Very family friendly, the staff was superb! The room was very clean! Nothing but great things about tunnel mountain resort! Will definitely be back! We’ll make it a yearly family get away!

We unexpectedly found a piece of wire in the food one day.

No AC so loft can get hot. Needs some updating, showing age of property.
