Strand Palace Hotel

Excellent location right in heart of Covent garden. Close to many theatres and 10 min walk to tube station to get around. Lots of restaurants and pubs close by. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend this hotel for your London stay.

Expensive night for an average room, an average breakfast in a great location

Excellent hotel on the whole, brilliant location and exceptional staff. Room was a good size though not the biggest we've ever stayed in, very clean and the bed was incredibly comfy. As a downside I'd point out that the shower didn't drain very well at all, meaning I had to stop & start several times per shower. There was some noise in the corridor overnight.

Very busy hotel but to be expected given its location. Efficiently run. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast good. Evening meals in the hotel restaurant not so good. Expensive but poor quality food and a somewhat unusual menu. Overall a good experience, but disappointing food in the hotel restaurant.

Great location

Excellent one night stay, single room; very clean and well equipped; excellent breakfast - dining room very busy but well managed. Thoroughly recommended.

It was one of many visits to the Strand and Covent Garden, and the hotel always is a great consistent standard. The staff are always helpful, the room excellent and the breakfast great. It was busy but there are other times people can go to breakfast than between 9am and 9:30am.

Whilst the overall stay here was good we had to queue to have breakfast.

I got the small room because I only needed it for just the night. The room was very clean, functional, affordable, the staff were kind, polite and friendly. I absolutely enjoyed my stay, worth the money and I will definitely be staying here again.

Excellent location to theaters and shopping. One of my favorite places on earth and a hotel that was exquisite.

A few blocks away from most of the theaters, a few blocks away from tube stations and just a few streets up from the water.

For a "Zone 1" hotel... my experience was horrible as a first time international guest. The standard queen room is so small and I was mortified to find a disgusting scene in the toilet meaning there are serious health, sanitation and hygiene issues here. Clearly the room was not cleaned properly and you can only assume everything in the bathroom was dirty. I felt physically ill and requested another room. This room also did not have a functioning US outlet meaning I would have to purchase a converter as they do not provide guests with any. So you pay out of pocket for their dysfunctions and inconveniencing you as a guest. They said they would send up a maintenance worker but one never came in the time I was still in there. What would they do? They told me they had no other rooms and were booked full. The towels had holes and yellowish and bluish stains! Disgusting. Once I reported the toilet waste issue they moved me to another room and for this inconvenience gave me a drink voucher...which most all hotels ive stayed at welcome you with anyway. Unbelievable. I was moved to another queen room- yes so they lied to me less than 30 minutes before. I asked to speak to a duty manager regarding these issues and one did speak with me directly over the phone and in person gifting me with edible amenities as an apology. They offered to take 30% off the total. That is not acceptable. Im waiting to hear back regarding a more acceptable resolution. Let's see what their guests are worth.

Surprised to find that booking a "Superior Room" doesn't necessarily include a window!

Convenient location with many shops and places to eat round about. Staff are helpful.

Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room, good shower.

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, breakfast very good. Very clean and comfortable beds. All round excellent stay would highly recommend all at a very reasonable cost.
