The stay was great, bedding comfortable, breakfast tasty. What was a really nice touch is the person at reception remembering my name. I'm not sure if that's part of the role, or my pink cat hoodie made me difficult to forget.
The only negative is that the TV didn't have chromecast built in, so I couldn't watch youtube/netflix/prime/etc

The Abode Canterbury is an excellent hotel located in the heart of Canterbury. From a convenience point of view, everything is close by - you've got a convenience store, lots of restaurants, and easy walking distance to the cathedral and other visitor attractions. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. For North American travelers looking for king size beds, this hotel does have them, but you need to ask for "Super King" beds specifically. If we find ourselves in England again and an Abode hotel is available, we would absolutely consider staying there again.

A lovely hotel with great staff, beautifully located for all the attractions in Canterbury. Room very comfortable and ver well equipped. Breakfast arrived cold but this was put right as quickly as possible.

Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Had to wait a while for breakfast but there was a lovely young man who couldn’t do enough for you. Shame I didn’t get his name but he was excellent. We had a lovely few days.

We had a lovely stay at the abode. Hotel is located in a great location for exploring Canterbury. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. Some areas of the hotel looked like they needed a lick of paint but overall it was good value for money.

Hotel Abode is located in the heart of Canterbury on High Street its main thoroughfare and within walking distance of most major sights and great dining. The breakfasts at the hotel were excellent. The staff was polite and very responsive. A great stay!

Staff was very friendly and super nice. Service was great. Good location if you visiting the town, walkable distance to train station and restaurant. Maybe the only downside if I have to say is the flooring was a bit old, so in the morning i could hear people walking upstairs.

Lovely as usual. Having stayed in an “enviable” room type before, it was noticeable this time having dropped to “comfortable”. Still high standards but a little tired in the bathroom, a small entrance (slightly awkward with bags) and less frills. Still lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay (and complimentary birthday treat). I would always opt for an enviable room when funds allow but all rooms are lovely.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a smile and a lovely welcome. We could not fault the gentleman who was hospitable and sorted out any problem that came our way.
We have stayed in the hotel previously and it won’t be the last.

Stayed for a couple of nights a few days before Christmas, so we could shop and experience the Christmas vibe of Canterbury. Hotel is in the heart of the town which is great.Staff were friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment was that they took a card on arrival, this was in case I charged anything to the room, £100 was taken, nothing was charged to the room. I called two weeks later to ask why this wasn’t returned, they said it could take up to a month. Exactly 1 month later the £100 was put back into my account! Mmmmmmm
We will definitely stay again, will likely say that I don’t have a card.

Had to move rooms as the toilet didn't work, staff weren't overly fussed , moved to the second room to find black mould on the walls and around the window.
Breakfast was overly expensive for poor quality and slow service.

Very nice hotel with an excellent position in the town. Good combination of new and traditional decor. Nice room but the bathroom was a little “cosy” but adequate. The breakfast was very tasty but as everything was table served it was a little slower than weer used too. Definitely use again.
