Incheon International Airport is located around 48 kms from the city centre of Seoul. It’s South Korea’s busiest and largest airport. To get to and from the airport to the city, you can hop onto the AREX express train to reach Seoul station — this journey will take around 43 minutes, and is the most popular and convenient option for tourists. Alternatively, you can book a taxi if you’re travelling with a lot of bulky luggage and prefer a door-to-door service.
Until December 2025, Australian passport holders can fly to Seoul (or anywhere in South Korea) without a visa or K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorisation) for up to 90 days. Upon arrival, you’ll need to complete an arrival card (usually given to you on board your flight) and ensure your passport has at least 6 months of validity beyond your departure date. You can also fill out the arrival card online within 3 days of your arrival in Seoul.
