11. The Research Center of Coffee and Cacao Plants

15. Meru Betiri National Park

Meru Betiri National Park is located within a vast area reaching from Jember to Banyuwangi. To get there from Banyuwangi, you can take the route of Banyuwangi-Jajag-Pesanggaran-Sungai Lembu-Sarongan-Kandangan-Pantai Rajegwesi-Sumbersuko-Sukamade. If you start your trip from Jember, it is accessible by taking the track of Jember-Ambulu-Tempurejo-Curahnongko-Andorejo-Bande Alit.

23. Museum and Library of Tobacco

The Museum of Tobacco is loaded with photography, literature, as well as a wide variety of tobacco-related appliances i.e. chopping machine and cutting engine. 24. Duplang Site

The person who maintains Duplang Site says that it has existed since the 10th century – even some believe that it was built in the 4th century. The location is within the pre-historic zone of East Java as well as the Triwulan and Kendal. 31. Tancak Tulis Waterfall

The people of Jember are multicultural—a blend of two major ethnicities: Javanese and Madurese. It is no surprise; some of the tourist attractions are named in two languages. In Madurese, Tancak means waterfall. Some of the locals do not get across the meaning of the word—they think it's just an ordinary name.

In truth, there are two kinds of waterfalls named Tancak in Jember. The first one is Tancak Tulis. According to the locals, the natural wonder is the tallest waterfall in the entire Jember. The popularity of Soto Ayam Dahlok (a restaurant where the chicken Soto is the highlight) cannot be indecisive. The legendary place has existed since 1958. A bowl of steamed rice is doused with the chicken broth and topped with shredded chicken, potato slices, boiled egg, a sprinkle of celery, and chopped tomato. To reach the site, you can go by car taking a route from Jalan Sultan Agung. There are some curves you need to pass through—be sure to drive slowly. When you are on the second curve, turn right and hit the Dahlok alley. The chicken Soto eatery is just behind it.

44. Ketan Jompo

Ketan Jompo only opened at night features a plate of steamed sticky rice. The bustling warung is where the visitors can do some activities such as chilling out and enjoying foods. Some additional dishes you cannot miss are the soybean powder, skewered intestine satay, fritters, and many others.

To get there, you can go on foot and walk through Jalan Sultan Agung. If you go by car, be sure to lock it.

45. Kolong Café

The last but not the least is the Kolong Café. Although it comes with relatively plain interior and menu, the cool spot for hanging out has never been noiseless.

What makes it special is its location under the bridge of Jalan Mastrip—it strangely has a concrete roof where the passers take their way. Opened at night, the café is decorated with the mild lighting so that the visitors could feel laid-back ambiance.

To get there, just take a 40-meter distance walk to the west. From the orange gate, go ahead until you find the spot.

To sum up, it is so clear that Jember offers a wide array of natural attractions. The poor infrastructure would be a serious matter for those taking a risk on adventuring for the first time. An important thing to notice is that there is no detail information about "how to go there." Some road signs showing where the attractions are can’t be found so that the travelers have no idea which way they should take unless asking the locals.
