The staff were so kind and always willing to help, especially the lovely Filipina woman that helped us check-in, whom I believe was named Ely. Housekeepers were also so lovely to communicate with, even if it's just a simple hello when leaving our room. The room was beyond our expectations (but to be fair we don't travel much) and were astonished at the amenities that were provided with the Chelsea Hotel. We were ready to provide for ourselves and get what we needed but it was as if everything was at our fingertips already. And we really liked the robes that were provided for us :) The location is also incredible as it's right in the downtown area of Toronto. So many places to eat and explore were within walking distance or were close to access to public transit. The convenience of the location is absolutely up there. Although we didn't explore much else of their services provided ie. the pool, the hotel restaurant, etc. I'm sure all of those services were also lovely and I would love to come back to give them more of a chance next time.

The room was spotless, the people were helpful, the service #1! The only thing I would change would be the bedside tables between the beds that the top are made of marble, for smaller ones! My daughter (8 years old) fell on our last night (in her sleep) and hit her head on it (she opened just below the lip). But without this little incident, the rest was great! Amazing place, I would recommend to anyone!

I booked the room and asked for the 'pay when I stay' option. They billed me $648. that day. We couldn't make it but the other 2 in our party could. My husband called the hotel and they forwarded forms for me to pay for the room with my son checking in. We filled in the forms and emailed them back. My son arrived at the hotel and was told he couldn't have the room because his name wasn't on the reservation. My husband called again and straightened it out. The room was nice and they enjoyed their stay. When handing in the room key, my son was told $500+ was still owing on the bill. I had already authorized this to be added to my credit card. It was a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety from the front staff. As a side - we booked through Expedia a few months in advance. We saw the hotel advertised a lower price ($300 lower) and tried to get that through Expedia customer service. We couldn't. If we booked through the hotel, we would lose the $648 already paid. Not a happy customer. I will book through the hotel from now on. I've had no issues with Expedia up until now. Customer service was not helpful and we couldn't get an explanation. Just repetition.

Always love the Chelsea. Dog friendly, great staff and amenities. Should have free nuts at the bar so as to avoiding making the bartender TELL the folks staying at the hotel, eating at the restaurant and drinking at the bar, that he has to charge $2 for the nuts. That’s embarrassing for everyone. We can do better. But nice place.

Hôtel parfait pour la famille. Un peut plus en retrait du centre ville mais tout se fait très bien à pieds ou en transport en commun. Les piscines sont très bien et la terrasse sur le toit est parfaite. Petite chambre mais propre et fonctionnelle.
