Hilton Vancouver Metrotown

I booked this hotel through expedia and did not realize they had a no cancellation within 24 hours which is fine however I was suppose to drive to vancouver the day of the reservation and the roads were closed due to a forest fire on Hiway 1 , the only alternative route was 5 more hours. I could not make it on time to get to my reservation and asked that they cancel it as the road was closed and there were more fires in the area. They flatly said sorry , you find a way to get here or you lose your reservation. They said I could take an alternative route and try my luck. I even asked for a credit and they said no. If I would of tried I am risking travelling through a fire zone as well as putting on another 5 hours of travel time. They really dont know how to treat a customer. Its all about getting that last reservation in and paid for. Terrible customer service.

The staff members were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, the building is a bit old, especially the bathroom, gym, and pool area. The breakfast has great selection but the quality is so so. Location is great.

Loved the breakfast buffet! Lots to choose from and the wait staff was amazing! Sheri was very helpful and super friendly! Hotel staff were always able to help or answer questions! Would 100% stay here again!

Great location! It’s close to the SkyTrain, the mall, and plenty of food options, which made getting around really convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. I really appreciated the flexibility with check-in, my flight arrived at 7:30 am, and although my room wasn’t ready right away, I was able to leave my luggage and come back later. I ended up getting my room at 1 pm, which I appreciated since standard check-in is at 4 pm. They also offer a complimentary 1-hour late check-out if you ask, which is a nice touch. Before arriving, I was able to select my room through the app, and I loved the convenience of using it as a digital key for both my room and the elevator. The room itself was clean, and I had a very comfortable sleep. One thing I would have preferred is a 24-hour gym. I didn’t realize the hours and tried to go around 4:30 am, as I’m used to hotels offering round-the-clock access. That said, I ended up going for a run around Central Park nearby, which worked out well thanks to the nice weather. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely book here again.

Really friendly staff and nice rooms, however not worth the price whatsoever. More expensive than the downtown location despite being much harder to get to, much smaller and worse rooms, and pretty mediocre views.

Staff was pretty accommodating, they noticed we had a vehicle and helped us register right away so we didn’t have to pay extra. Rooms are a bit older but the hotel has been around for over 20years

Overall it was nice and clean , well maintained, only trouble was the parking , a bit of confusing as to where to park and how many spots available.
