What Guests Say About Their Stay

Third stay at this hotel, always a nice standard. The room we had this time had a couple of signs of age, the bathroom door has swollen due to water splash from the shower. The shower head with hose had perished, making the hose shoot off from the attachment. Someone had stayed in the room wearing a lot of foundation, which was smudged up a wall and over the soap dispenser and mirror. My friend had a duvet that had a hole in the top left corner which had a fair amount of foundation on too. But besides that, the room was tidy, clean and perfect for our stay. Staff were friendly and polite. Thank you.

Great central location just a few minutes from the Utilita Arena and canal area with car parking adjacent (check headroom). Good choice of bars and restaurants on doorstep. Excellent power shower and large comfortable bed. Surprisingly quiet (6th floor of 16). Good self serve breakfast. Great stopover for concert.

The beds looked made but when my daughter went to go in her s there was a tissue in there like it hadn’t been made up for us from people before …. So we both slept. Together I complained the next day all I got was a £40 refund … but there was no knowing that bed wasn’t slept in !!! I still had to chase the cleaning ladies in the corridors in afternoon to get them to change bedding…

Car park was busy but managed to park at the top section which wasn’t the best having to carry luggage down the stairs. I’d already checked in on line so just had to collect key from reception. Complimentary glass of bubbles & a macaron was very much appreciated. Hotel was nicely decorated. Lift’s were slow. Our room was nice and spacious, complimentary water, coffee machine etc. nice white company toiletries. Comfortable bed, nice bed linen & towels. My only niggle was I’d asked for a quiet room due to sleep issues we were on the 8th floor but even ear plugs didn’t drown out the awful thudding music from a club below which wasn’t great so I had an awful night's sleep even my daughter couldn’t sleep! Breakfast - lots of choice. Easy self check out. Luggage facilities were handy. Car park charges were reasonable for an overnight stay. Overall we were happy enough with our stay.

The room was very spacious and nice, clean nice view, had all the things that were needed, bathroom was okay, a little small but not too small, the shower water gets onto the floor and can soak the floor so be careful with that. But overall it’s great.

The lifts are an absolute pain in the neck! Also, the tables at breakfast are far too close together and we felt cramped in - they need to be spaced out more. When I suggested a table I was told “as I could see” the table was not laid out and it would have been a better table for us rather than the cramped in table we were given

Very average hotel. It was ok but wouldn’t stay there again. Issues with the room - broken coffee machine, light bulbs missing, no towels. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Food running out, only one working coffee machine. Loads of dirty uncleaned tables around us. Probably better options in Birmingham city centre

The hotel is in an excellent location, with easy access for driving and convenient on-site parking. I’d also highly recommend a visit to Pushkar next door—the food was outstanding, and it’s a real bonus that it’s linked to the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, with cosy beds and modern, clean bathrooms, which made for a pleasant stay overall. My only issue was with the lift, which malfunctioned while we were heading up to the 14th floor. It was a bit of an unsettling experience—certainly not the kind of “thrill ride” you’d expect outside of a theme park. My daughter chose to walk to the room afterward. Although I raised the alarm while inside the lift, I still needed to inform staff once we reached the ground floor. They did arrange for engineering to investigate, but the situation could have been handled more proactively.
