Very useful staff, I arrived at 11.00am and had to get changed due to the warm weather to go for a business lunch. The receptionist was kind enough to allow me to get showered. Ac was needed during my stay. Very closed to high park too.

Sadly the stay that my partner and I had at this hotel was not the greatest. The bedroom was situated close to the left which you could hear going up and down throughout the night quite loudly. The bathroom towels had hair in them from potentially previous users. The enamel on the bath was in the need of replacing. The air vents were incredibly dusty, and the Electrics in the hotel room were temperamental, bordering on potentially dangerous. The television in the hotel room supplied Did not work at all And you were unable to watch anything Even Just five minutes after having a shower. And there was a distinct lack of tea and coffee in the hotel room even though there was a machine and Kettle provided, and also no milk. This was passed on to the hotel staff whilst there and also I followed it up with a phone call with a promise that somebody would be in touch regarding this list of failures. I would highly recommend finding other property in the area more suitable, and competent. Very disappointed.

Booked a superior double room but the room we were given had curtains hanging off of the rails due to broken clips, the shower was on scorching hot after adjustment it cycled through warm, very hot, cold. And the bathroom radiator had open wiring exposed, we were not very impressed.

Hotel is in a great location, close to Paddington station, Hyde Park, restaurants and shops. We appreciated the air conditioning during the heat wave. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold options. Bed was comfortable and room had a small fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing to note was building is old and room had old stained carpet and shower glass partition needed repair.

Lovely building and nice quiet area. Short walk to tube station, very easy to get too. Nice coffee shops close by. The room was tidy. Bed was comfortable and very spacious. Only things I would point out are kettle lid didn’t close properly, bathroom sink didn’t drain very fast and there were no spoons or wooden sticks to go alongside the coffee and tea facilities, so nothing to stir your beverage with, but these weren’t major issues. Air con worked well and the staff were lovely. Would stay again.

We stayed at The Lancaster Hotel from 4th–8th July. We chose this hotel because of its excellent location and, most importantly, because it advertised air conditioning during London’s heatwave. When we checked into Room 303, it was unbearably hot. We tried the air conditioning, but it wasn’t working. A staff member came to the room, asked us to wait 20 minutes, but it still didn’t work. After several trips to reception, we were simply offered fans. No one explained what the issue was, even though the rest of the hotel appeared to have working air conditioning. We were told we could move rooms the next day or leave for a refund, which was very disappointing after a long day of travelling. We were moved the following day, but had to leave our first room by 12pm and wait until 3pm for the new room to be ready. We understand the hotel was fully booked, but the lack of communication throughout was frustrating. When we later contacted the hotels.com, we were told there had been maintenance on our floor. This was never mentioned at check-in or during our conversations with reception. The corridor had air conditioning, so it seemed the issue was only with our room. While the fault may not have been the staff’s, the evening receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful and even appeared to smirk while we were explaining the problem. Overall, the situation was handled very poorly, and unfortunately we would not stay here again.

Nice hotel in nice area Unfortunately secure baggage storage wasn't a thing, and they just left them all in corridor. This would have bothered me if I had valuables. They could only give us one room key as had "run out" Air con didn't work and had to give us a fan, thank God they did as rooms were too hot. Overall very nice, friendly hotel and would stay again - but might think twice in summer!

Staff were great from start to finish, the room was ok but we couldn't have a proper shower as it was blocked and the water wouldn't run away so could of overflowed. There was no hot water in the morning. We wanted extra milk in the evening to have a drink but they had ran out and didn't give anything else

This is a good hotel in a lovely area - only fault would be - during the hot weather the room needs air-con as the fan provided doesn't cool the room down at all.

We had booked a superior room - the room we stayed in didn't feel like it had a 'superior' quality. It was on the ground floor with a view of an enclosed area with a dead plant to look at. The bathroom wasn't very big and the room had limited space. The breakfast was very basic, no fruit apart from tinned peach slices, brown and white bread only and a limited choice of 3 cereals. The location was good though, just a short walk from Lancaster Gate tube station, Hyde Park and 10 minutes from Paddington Station.

Booked a superior room, certainly wasn't. Small twin, one bed up against the window. Metal table, cupboard and bedside cabinet, felt prison like.Definitely needs a refurbishment . One mug,one biscuit booked for two people. No toilet roll. In fairness to the gentleman on the desk he did put toilet paper and another cup in the room for us. Bathroom was better but smelt of damp and evidence of mould, good shower. Other plus points air conditioning and a safe. Staff we encountered were pleasant. Was in an ideal location. For the money paid the superior room should look a bit like the one on the website, expensive for what we got.

The room size was decent for central London accommodation and the location to Paddington station and Hyde park was excellent. It was disappointing that we wasn’t able to check in at 14:15. The air con in the room was superb when on. The problem was it was on a timer, controlled by the hotel, and midway through the night I woke up sweating as it had gone off after 3 hours - same happened in the morning. The breakfast provided was v poor. The hot food selection was not very nice and the well overcooked. I don’t believe the money I paid was value for money

The location was great and the air conditioning worked perfectly (especially important during a heatwave). But they need to spend more time on cleaning the rooms (they were dirty).

We were given a ground/basement room which is also where the breakfast room was also located and possible maintenance as it was extremely noisy. You could also hear people walking around reception. With 5 minutes of being in our room we were looking at moving. No safe. No telephone to call reception to sort out the issues we had. Window was frosted. Tiny bathroom. No fridge. Ine tiny stool/chair. Not a room you could go back and relax in. It was simply a bed with a bathroom. Very basic. Reception very pleasant but doesnt set the actual scene for the entire hotel experience. People on upper floors were coming down to complain about some issues. We would not return to this accommodation when we visit London again.

This hotel is in a really good location between Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate. Travel around London was easy from here. The room was a good size, dropping off bags before and after check in wasn’t an issue. There were a few issues with the room, including the shower bracket holding the shower head was very loose and didn’t hold the shower up so you had to hold the shower to use it. The hand soap provided in the toilet had been watered down rather than replaced and was unsuitable. Otherwise, the bathroom was modern. Room service wasn’t what I’d expect for a 4 star hotel, despite being out for over five hours, the room wasn’t made up and it wasn’t until later in the day the house keeper knocked on the door offering new towels but nothing else as they had run out of time for the day. Tea/coffee facilities and TV was all good. This is a hotel perfect for an overnight stay but perhaps falls slightly under expectations for anything longer. The staff were friendly
