The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

Booked two rooms next to each other for 7 nights as a birthday holiday for our daughter. Second night, spotted a mouse in our room!! Went to Manager who changed our room to another floor for 1 night . New room had no mini fridge. We were then changed to a 3rd room the next day! Plus had to have our daughters room changed to be on same floor as us. Not what we had expected when booking this Hotel. Especially disappointing when considering the cost of staying at the Tower Hotel.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Gave us their full attention. Absolutely the best. We were there April 30,2025 to May 2, 2025. Rooms very nice Bathtubs a little high trying to get in and out of. I will stay there again.

Located was nice but congested due to so many tourists and it being by the Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

Building works going on directly under our window, we were not told of this when booking or when checking in. Room & hotel is looking tired & in need of refurbishment. Room was not serviced as required, had to ask for tea/coffee/milk, toilet rolls. Shower soap etc had run out & was not replaced.

Great location. We got a room overlooking the Thames. View was spectacular! Room was comfortable.

Nice location. Room was nice although we asked to not have it cleaned to save water but the door tagged was ignored. Service by staff was not great.

It is very close to the London Bridge, it's right there as well as the Tower. That is very cool and the Thames traffic is right in front of this hotel. You can go out and do stuff in the area and if you are not finished there is restaurants and bars close by and even in the hotel property itself. The staff were very nice, international mostly, but they try hard to please you and do their job. My main problem was the hallway leading to my room. They apparently used a cleaner, they told me air freshner and it was beyond obnoxious. I could smell that stuff in my room from the hallway. I had a tough time breathing and they moved me to another room. That is an issue and someone will eventually get a reaction to that. The rooms were probably good in the day but now look dated and the electrical buttons to turn stuff on and off is outdated as well. Not enough light in the rooms, I had a stove and no instructions how to even use it, was not straight forward. The staff on all levels were great. Its the best location but it screams upgrade in the hallways and rooms. The elevators are not enough either for the amount of people in that hotel. It was not a terrible stay, it just needs attention.

No eating options after 9pm. Eat before you get back to the hotel. Not even able to offer crisps or nuts in the bar!! There is a tesco express next door thankfully.

Amazing location with fabulous views of Tower Bridge, the Shard and beyond. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Drinks were a bit pricey even by London standards
