1. First Operated in 1882  

Sukabumi Station first operated in 1882. At that time, the Dutch East Indies government railroad company called Staatspoorwegen (SS) tried to connect the railroad line from Buitenzorg (Bogor) to Bandung. Therefore, Sukabumi Station was built and operated. Moreover, Sukabumi Station became one of the crossroad stations when going to Surabaya from Batavia (Jakarta) and vice versa at that time. 

2. Initially Had Five Lines

Sukabumi Station was known to have five active train lines in the past. However, over time, there are only 1-3 lines that are still actively used today at Sukabumi Station. Lines 1 and 2 are usually used by trains that pass through Sukabumi Station, while line 3 is used for storage trains.
