Rangkasbitung Train runs from Rangkasbitung Station (RK) or has known as Rangkas Station, which is located in Muara Ciujung Timur, Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten.
This station is under Jakarta Operation Area I and is a primary station in Banten Province. Because of that, all trains running through the Tanah Abang - Merak route always stop at Rangkasbitung Station. The previous station before Rangkasbitung Station is Citeras Station and after it is Jambu Baru Station.
Rangkasbitung Station has recently served the commuter line with Rangkasbitung - Tanah Abang and Rangkasbitung - Merak routes. This station previously served a long-haul service, and local trains such as Kalimaya Train, Patas Merak Train, and Krakatau Train.
Since Commuter Line Rangkasbitung is available, Kalimaya Train and Patas Merak’s operation has stopped. Krakatau Train’s route has been cut off and become a round-trip route from Pasar Senen - Blitar, while its name was changed to Singasari Train. Before that, that train had served Merak-Blitar on a round trip.
The first commuter line departs from Rangkasbitung Station with Rangkasbitung - Tanah Abang route. Being established in 1899, this type-A class was built by the Staatsspoorwegen (SS) company.
To enhance commuter line service, Rangkasbitung Station started to electrify in 2015. Then, the commuter line with Tanah Abang - Rangkasbitung was retrieved on 1st April 2017. This commuter line replaced Rangkas Jaya Train, the diesel passenger train that had been operating for 60 years.
The relation of the commuter line from Tanah Abang Station to Rangkasbitung Station is colored faded green. It is the furthest and longest distance, about 72.8 kilometers. JR 205, JR 203, and the Tokyo Metro 6000 series are the circuits used.
Commuter line 205 series was brought from Japan to Indonesia in November 2013. This commuter line consists of 10 trains operating on some routes, such as Lingkar Cikarang and Duri-Tangerang. Meanwhile, the Tokyo Metro 6000 series has been operating in Indonesia since 2016.

Rangkasbitung Train with Rangkasbitung - Tanah Abang route serves the passengers since early morning. The earliest departure time is at 04.00 am and the latest is at 09.19 pm.
The 72.8-kilometer track can be reached in about 47 minutes. The schedule between the previous train is about 15 minutes. There are some stations that are passed from this route, such as Tigaraksa Station, Parung Panjang Station, and Serpong Station.
From Rangkasbitung, there is also a local train to Merak Station. The earliest departure time is about 05.05 am and the latest is about 09.22 pm.
The journey from Rangkasbitung to Merak takes 50 minutes for the trip. At night, the Rangkasbitung Train only travels until Serpong Station and Parung Panjang Station, with the latest departure time is 11.44 pm.
Rangkasbitung Station, which departs early, has some facilities to ensure the passengers' convenience. Those are the musholla (prayer room), restroom, ticket machine, parking area, shops, restaurant, and waiting room.
This station has three platforms, they are one side platform and two high-backed island platforms. Besides, this station has 4 active routes. Route 1 is a double-track straight line from Jakarta, while route 2 is a double lane from Jakarta and a single lane towards Merak.
Rangkasbitung Station also has a locomotive depot, car and train depot, and train affairs supervisor (PUK) where the trains are stored. Another fact about this station is that it has a canopy with a Polonceau frame.
Rangkasbitung Station’s status is a cultural heritage asset that has been functioned until now. Its location is near Rangkasbitung's traditional market, so it is accessible. Recently, Rangkasbitung Station has been renovated to expand its passenger capacity and is targeted to be done in 2024.
