All the staff i spoke to were very helpful from booking in to having a little chat with a very nice security man too staff at breakfast till booking out looking forward to coming back

Great as they found a room for me even though I arrived at 8am. Was wonderful as I was able to drop my luggage and run to my meetings in London. My room and the hotel are great and the location near Paddington Station - excellent. Great food nearby and was able to take the Heathrow Express to and from LHR.
Only issue was check in. There were two customers ahead of me. There was some issue with each of them that took forever to resolve - maybe 15 mins. There were other staff members available but all were some how required to resolve these issues. One was more senior and I've always learned that you should leave the more senior member to resolve the issue and free up the more junior one to attend to new customers.

Even though there was a considerable queue and people needing a lot of help, the staff were swift and friendly.
The room was clean, had A/C, was quiet, and I got sleep.
I would say that people smoking near the entrance was a drawback.

The rooms at the Hilton London Metropole were extremely small. There is no drawer or shelf space for clothes. There’s only a small closet. Towels are offered, but face cloths are not. It was a bit of a disappointment, given the quality and standard that I’ve come to expect of Hilton hotels.

Great rooms and breakfast but disappointing reception. The reception was not welcoming, ignored benefits I deserve and tried to give me the lowest room available despite being a platinum. I had to argue to get the a decent room. No refill of water bottles despite asking for.
If service improve they will be five.

Well placed and the biggest room I’ve had in London. Comfy bed and pillows. The elevator situation is a challenge. Two of the elevators are down (out of a bank of four) so it’s a long wait.

On arrival no greeting, receptionist treated us as an inconvenience, not friendly boarding on rude. Told us our room was in the west wing but no instructions on how to get there, we lef tthe desk and askes concierge he was also ride and said down there. No smiles or interaction. Pretty dissapointing.
The room was dirty, dusty and chewing gum uner the bedsde table, im sure its still there, i did not remove it.
Pretty disappointing for a 4 star hotel, expected more
