This hotel is in an excellent place just opposite Edgware Road tube station. Hotel was spotlessly clean and has great facilities. Check in was quick and staff really friendly. Breakfast was superb with great choice and although queues at peak time staff were quick to find a table. Only negative is coffee machines kept stopping and so long queues for a hot drink.

My room was freezing cold. Outside would have been warmer, which is saying something for London in January. After leaving my bag there following my initial check-in, I returned late at night and it was so cold that if I had slept there I would surely have gotten sick. I was unable to raise the temperature and, after too long a wait (which was somewhat understandable given the late hour), maintenance was unable to fix it and I had to change room. And, of course, I was woken at 8:45am by housekeeping banging on the door because I hadn't left the Privacy sign outside the new room. All of my interactions with staff were friendly and I have no issues with any individual but no-one should ever have been put in that room.

The heating system is not working and we had to call the maintenance man to fix it and he couldn’t then they offered me a portable heater which helped a little bit to worm the room.

We thought the hotel was great in the lobby and restaurant and all the staff seemed lovely. Food had a wide variety and was delicious. Our room was tired and dusty, carpets were marked and wardrobe had damage near the tea station. Rubbish and food bits under the bed and had to ask for sofa bed bedding, as none was in the room, this took quite a while for it to arrive. The bathroom was letting off a dirty drain smell and we had to keep the door shut!

The toilet door handle was broken, the carpet was worn and damaged, and the room felt generally untidy and unclean. Overall, the condition of the hotel did not reflect a four star standard at all, especially given the price of nearly two hundred pound per night. Check in was also disappointing. The receptionist was not welcoming and came across as rude, which made the experience even worse. Based on this stay, I would not choose to stay here again.

Nice hotel overall, but failures of the front desk caused issues. I’d spoke to the front desk well in advance and arranged for early check-in. This was agreed, confirming around midday. I called back the day before stay and confirmed again (my arrival 1300-1400). On arrival (1400) the room wasn’t ready - we waited until 1500; the standard check-in time. At 1500, we were told the room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. After complaining and having to explain how this would cause issues with plans they arranged an alternative room. The room was the correct type, but was without bedding for our son. Already running late because of the issues at check-in, we waited until we got back from our evening out before trying to make the bed from what spares were in the cupboard. It was missing any sheets. Trying to get sheets from front desk took us nearly an hour of multiple calls to the front desk and messages through the Hilton honours app - the desk staff, who weren’t able to speak well in clear English, were non-committal with how long it may be. Our 7 year old was falling asleep on the sofa by this time. Otherwise the room had a some wear and tear which could have been made better. The carpet into the kind bedroom was wearing thin near the threshold and spikes on the gripper strip could be felt pricking the skin under feet. Also there was some water damage on wallpaper and floor near bathroom evident from a previous leak behind wall - not a great look.

Stayed here lots before for the location. Looking a bit tired now. Unfortunately the floor we stayed on was infested with carpet moths. Bare patches all over the carpets in the corridors and loads of tiny moths crawling up the walls. They need to sort this but it’ll be a nightmare. Just hope none came home with us.
