Institut Latihan Malaysia Wilayah Timur is an institute that is responsible to provide courses, seminars and trainings to the Islamic religious officers from the multitude of religious agencies around the East Coast area, though it is also open to other interested government agencies. Administered under the Department of Islamic Development which lies under the federal government, it is the first institution of its kind in the East Coast area, located at the area of Kampung Raja, within the district of Besut, state of Terengganu, Malaysia.

It is easily found alongside T167 route with other facilities such as resorts, higher education institutes, beaches, schools, mosques, restaurants and shops. Since its establishment back in 16th February 2010, the institution aims to continue the mission and vision of the headquarters in Bangi to be the pioneer and the global leader in Islamic religious-based trainings. This is further reinforced by the annual organization of Regional Imam Professionalism Course which further enhances the visibility of the agency at an international level.

In order to continue to provide such high quality services, the institute has begun putting Quality Environment Practice into its standards of procedure which led them to be awarded by the Malaysian Productivity Corporation. In addition to being a training venue and provider, the institute also offers a diploma in Islamic Management and an advanced diploma in the science of dakwah. It is pretty close to the beach of Bukit Keluang, where one can reach there by foot within less than ten minutes.

By Plane

There are flights to Sultan Mahmud Airport of Kuala Terengganu or Sultan Ismail Petra Airport of Kota Bharu from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) which are provided by both Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia. Upon touchdown on either of these airports, guests may hail up a taxi or bus to go to Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia Wilayah Timur.

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through E8 route for direct access to Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia Wilayah Timur. The journey could take up around five hours and forty-five minutes, depending on the traffic situation.
