Even before starting your journey hiking up the mountain, you can watch some souvenirs, antiques and snacks just below the staircase. There are six gates where only two will lead to the gallery. Keep your wallet with you when you want to go to the temple complex as there is a small fee for entering.
  • Doi Ithanon – Chiang Mai has a national park with the highest peak in Thailand, which is Doi Ithanon. Doi Ithanon is filled with beautiful nature such as waterfalls and mountains. There is also a hill tribe village located in Doi Ithanon. Located two hours from the city, travellers are advised to go early to feel the excitement. Some of the activities included are trekking, explore the scenic view of Wachiritharn Waterfalls and the panoramic view above the King and Queen Chedi’s. For the hill tribe village, travellers can get a chance to go to the locals of Mhong Tribe Village and shop at their local market.
  • Sunday Walking Street – Only open on Sunday, Sunday Walking Street is the home of a variety of food. It is a venue for knowing more about the locals. Activity included, such as eating the broad spectrum of food. Sunday Walking Street also hosts some vendors that sell handicrafts, ornaments and any keepsake in Chiang Mai. It only opens from 16:00 until 24:00 every Sunday. The best thing about Sunday Walking Street is that it offers more handcrafts from their own culture rather than just general goods. With so much to see and buy, Sunday Walking Street can be a bit crowded, but it is worth the experience.
