I had a wonderful stay at Princesa Garden Island Resort on Christmas Eve! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in and a comfortable experience throughout. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights was the thoughtful gesture of giving a gift to our toddler, which made the holiday season even more special. The breakfast buffet and festive decorations added a cozy touch to our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future!

We had a great experience during our whole stay here at Royale Parc Hotel. Location is a bit far away from the city Center. Upon arrival, we were allowed to check in early and we really appreciate it. Our room is nice and clean. Facilities are also well-maintained. There’s free coffee on the kitchen area on the ground floor. 🙂All the staff are really friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They did the extra mile by providing us medicine when we badly need it and taking care of the linen I unfortunately left a stain on. Two thumbs up! We’ll definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we almost do not want to go out of our room. Room is very spacious and clean. We did not try the food from the resto because we want to maximize everything. We went to SM supermarket to buy something we can cook. The room has a kitchen with complete utensils and condiments. We will definitely gonna stay here again when we get back in Puerto Princesa. I love it here!

For specific tourist concerns, local police hotlines can be found through your accommodation. It's always prudent for Filipino travellers to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies. While the Philippines has good healthcare facilities, understanding your coverage and knowing the location of the nearest reputable clinic or hospital is advisable. Always confirm any current travel advisories from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) before your trip.

Travel Guide

Reaching Bancao-Bancao from the Philippines

Bancao-Bancao is most conveniently accessed via Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS). Direct flights are available from major Philippine hubs like Manila (NAIA/MNL) and Cebu (CEB), with travel times typically ranging from 1 to 1.5 hours. Flights from Clark (CRK) or Davao (DVO) may involve a layover. Booking your book flight in advance, especially during peak seasons, is recommended to secure the best fares, which can range from ₱ 2,500 to ₱ 6,000 or more depending on the airline and booking time.

Getting Around Bancao-Bancao

Once you arrive at Puerto Princesa International Airport, reaching Bancao-Bancao is a short ride, typically 15-30 minutes by taxi or ride-hailing service, costing around ₱ 200-400 (approximately $4-8 USD). Within Bancao-Bancao itself, tricycles are the most common mode of local transport for short distances, offering a classic Filipino travel experience. For longer journeys or more comfort, taxis and ride-hailing apps are readily available. Renting a motorbike can also be an option for independent exploration, but ensure you have the necessary license and insurance.

Best Time to Visit Bancao-Bancao

The ideal time to visit Bancao-Bancao is generally during the dry season, from November to May, when the weather is sunny and less humid, perfect for outdoor activities and beach visits. This period aligns with many international holiday schedules, so expect higher prices and more crowds, particularly around Christmas, New Year, and Easter. The wet season, from June to October, brings occasional rain showers but also fewer tourists and lower accommodation rates, offering a more tranquil experience for those unfazed by potential downpours.

Pre-Departure Checklist for Bancao-Bancao

Before heading to Bancao-Bancao, ensure you have your Philippine passport with at least six months of validity. The local currency is the Philippine Peso (PHP). While major establishments may accept USD, it's best to have PHP for smaller vendors and local transport. Consider purchasing a local SIM card at the airport for affordable data and calls. Essential apps include Google Maps for navigation, Grab for transport, and a translation app if needed. Confirm any specific travel advisories from the DFA before your departure.

Visa Information

Entry Requirements for Philippine Passport Holders

Philippine passport holders enjoy visa-free entry into the Philippines for tourism purposes, allowing for stays typically up to 30 days. However, it is crucial to ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay. You may be required to present proof of onward travel, such as a return or onward flight ticket, and sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your visit. Always check the latest immigration regulations with the Bureau of Immigration Philippines before your travel date.

Required Documents and Application Process

While visa-free for short tourist stays, Philippine passport holders must possess a valid passport with sufficient remaining validity. Proof of accommodation, such as hotel bookings in Bancao-Bancao, and a confirmed return or onward ticket are often requested by immigration officers upon arrival. While no visa fee is applicable for standard visa-free entry, any extensions or specific visa types would incur associated costs and require a formal application process through the Bureau of Immigration.

Verifying Visa Policies Before Travel

Immigration policies and visa-free durations can change. It is highly recommended for all travellers, including Philippine passport holders, to verify the most current entry requirements with the official Bureau of Immigration Philippines website or by contacting their office directly before booking flights or making travel arrangements. Confirming your eligibility to enter and the permitted length of stay will prevent any last-minute issues upon arrival in the Philippines.
