Here’s a polished version of your review: We’ve just returned from a weekend stay here and had such a lovely time. The hotel is beautifully clean, and our room was spacious with everything we needed. The girl at breakfast (I believe her name was Olivia) was especially wonderful! So friendly and welcoming. She mentioned she had only just started, but you would never have known. She was attentive, confident, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The chef was also fantastic and kindly prepared veggie sausages for us. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Canterbury. Thank you for such a great stay!

Good location for visit to Cathedral in centre of Canterbury next to shopping centre. Parking in multi storey nearby arranged through hotel. Good breakfast but no main restaurant- just rooftop bar with limited menu but plenty of places around to eat. Staff all helpful. Enjoyed our stay

Disappointing Stay The mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were worn out and threadbare. Breakfast was particularly poor. The hot food was rubbery and chewy, the orange juice tasted bitter, and the coffee machines appeared dirty and poorly maintained. The breakfast staff were unhelpful and rude. There was no one available to seat guests, so finding a table felt like a free-for-all. When larger groups were waiting for a suitable table, staff did not make an effort to clear tables promptly. On several occasions, tables remained uncleared with cleaning supplies left on them for 5–10 minutes while staff moved on to other tasks, rather than prioritizing waiting guests. If you were dining alone and spent too long making a waffle or toast, there was a real risk that your table would be cleared by staff or taken by another guest. Parking was also inconvenient. The car park is about a block from the hotel and is tight and difficult to navigate, especially with a large vehicle. The hotel does not offer on-site parking, valet service, or security, so guests must carry their luggage and walk a block to the hotel. Arriving after 7 p.m. was particularly uncomfortable, as the route passed homeless encampments where I observed apparent drug use. Overall, the room amenities, breakfast experience, parking situation, and service were very disappointing.

Hotel was good. Fire alarm went off twice early hours of the morning. Evacuated the room, with the kids. No one knew what to do. When asking the guy at reception, he wasn’t really sure what to do either. Replied saying ‘this happened yesterday, I think all is ok.’ Not very reassuring. Thank goodness it wasn’t a real fire as staff clearly need more training.

Very nice stay. A reasonably sized breakfast buffe, but some of the room amenities could use an upgrade or switch. Like the kettle and the iron. Perfect loction to live comfortable and see Canterburys center.

Good location and reasonable hotel. Can be a bit noisy at night but it’s the place I generally stay in central Canterbury

Really enjoyed our stay here. Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Very clean and modern room. Breakfast was busy but very good food and lots of choice.

This is a more contemporary hotel in the heart of the historic area of Canterbury. Terrific location, excellent staff, and a delicious breakfast.

Although the hotel is Ideally located in the heart of historic Canterbury, and we found a comfortable room, helpful staff, and delicious breakfast, our stay was absolutely ruined by what is apparently a nightclub directly next door. We not only heard but felt the loud throbbing bass and percussion of club music that lasted until 2am both Fri & Sat. I am a drummer myself, but I was unable to sleep through this incredibly intrusive noise. We travelled with family who had two other rooms, all of us on the 4th floor, and everyone said they were very disturbed by the music. It seriously impacted my ability to enjoy Canterbury because I was so sleep-deprived. It’s a real shame because otherwise the hotel is lovely.

The staff were very helpful, the room was well stocked and very clean. The breakfast was very good and fulfilling with many options. The hotel is centrally located in Canterbury and within walking distance to Canterbury Catherdal.

Nice hotel to stay. Staff was a bit sarcastic with the requests made. Otherwise everything else all good.

Have stayed here 3 times. Good facilities. Rooms and beds are nice and big, even in the twin rooms.

Excellent place to stay. Especially when there’s air con in the room. Super comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Cheers! Oh and there’s a waffle machine for the free breakfast!
