This is a really nice hotel. Glad I wasn’t deterred by the negative reviews. The hotel is secure, there is security on the premises and cameras all around. I felt safe. The staff were very helpful and friendly, even got a baby lizard out of our room lol. It’s close to everything, no more than 10-15 minutes away. Taxis are high, we used ride shares but they are not welcomed by the taxi drivers so be aware of pick up locations. The place is so serene, really quiet and relaxing. The restaurant on site has really good breakfast. The power did go out on our last day for a few hours which is common in Tulum fyi. We just enjoyed nature and the pool during that time, plus the common areas like the lobby and restaurant has backup generators and were still operating as normal. Will stay here again.

Overall, the hotel grounds and nice and maintained. I can say the rooms were nice and spacious as well. The only problem is outside noise in the apartment. My 1 bedroom was outside of the pool with kids constantly screaming. I was able to tune it out but the bedroom located in the back faced the road and you can clearly hear every car driving by. Thankful the road is clamber at night. On my second day there was a high pitched loud buzzing sound coming from the courtyard. I couldn’t tune this sound out and it was extremely irritating. I walked around to see where it was coming from and finally asked the front desk if I could change rooms. I also noticed my balcony door didn’t close all the way. The front desk said we don’t have any other one bedrooms available and said nobody ever complained about this noise. I offered to take a downgrade or even pay for an upgrade to no avail. I convinced them to come hear the sound and they finally agreed and learned the sound was coming from a motor outside of my room. They shut off the motor and all was well and they sent someone to fix the door. The motor was back on my last day but I just dealt with it. The front desk could have handled the situation better and offered some accommodation rather than dismissing my claims. Overall it’s a nice place but not relaxing and staff could have been better. I’d think twice before booking this place or at least book a room on the higher floor to avoid the noise.

L’hôtel est super bien! Très propre! Les piscines aussi! Le personnel est tres jasant, quoique peu jasant! Nous étions devant un quartier très bien et l’autre un peu dévaster, et aurions aimé être avisé que la circulation tardive pouvait ou devait être risqué. Autrement, une fois que nous contournons cet endroit, tout était bien! Nous avons louer les vélos et navigué au alentours sans problème! Merci Copal! Ps restaurant est excellent! Comme beaucoup de resto à Tulum.

Copal was a very nice place to stay. I would definitely stay again, only next time I will request a suite on the other side of the property as there was a bar across the street that fancies itself a club. The music was quite loud, which made sleep elusive for me.

The hotel is beautiful in itself what made it even more special was the room I got had a private rooftop pool. The room was cleaned daily and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall a pleasant stay I highly recommend.

Overall not a bad stay. Apartment was very spacious, although a bit tired in places. Kitchen crockery and utensils were very minimal. Shower enclosure very large, but you can't stop water going all over the floor. Could do with a squeegee in the bathroom. Also the room has a very musty / damp smell about it. Breakfast in the restaurant was always pleasant, serving staff always very nice and courteous.

They shut off the motor and all was well and they sent someone to fix the door. The motor was back on my last day but I just dealt with it. The front desk could have handled the situation better and offered some accommodation rather than dismissing my claims. Overall it’s a nice place but not relaxing and staff could have been better. I’d think twice before booking this place or at least book a room on the higher floor to avoid the noise.

L’hôtel est super bien! Très propre! Les piscines aussi! Le personnel est tres jasant, quoique peu jasant! Nous étions devant un quartier très bien et l’autre un peu dévaster, et aurions aimé être avisé que la circulation tardive pouvait ou devait être risqué. Autrement, une fois que nous contournons cet endroit, tout était bien! Nous avons louer les vélos et navigué au alentours sans problème! Merci Copal! Ps restaurant est excellent! Comme beaucoup de resto à Tulum.

Copal was a very nice place to stay. I would definitely stay again, only next time I will request a suite on the other side of the property as there was a bar across the street that fancies itself a club. The music was quite loud, which made sleep elusive for me.

The hotel is beautiful in itself what made it even more special was the room I got had a private rooftop pool. The room was cleaned daily and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall a pleasant stay I highly recommend.

Overall not a bad stay. Apartment was very spacious, although a bit tired in places. Kitchen crockery and utensils were very minimal. Shower enclosure very large, but you can't stop water going all over the floor. Could do with a squeegee in the bathroom. Also the room has a very musty / damp smell about it. Breakfast in the restaurant was always pleasant, serving staff always very nice and courteous.

Second time at this property. However I did not appreciate the state of my bathroom shower upon arrival with hair still in the corners as well as their policy that if makeup gets in the towels there is an extra charge.
