We upgraded our room and had the best sunrise view overlooking the opera house🤍. The stay was very lovely and all the staff are very accommodating and nice, definitely recommended for a nice getaway.

The location was perfect, could walk to the Rocks, Darling Harbour and the Botanic Gardens quite easily. All the staff were wonderful and we felt spoilt with their care. The Spa was also great. Couldn’t fault any aspect of our stay here.

Great location, though basic front desk assistance could be improved. First, the check-in process was very straightforward and got in quickly, which was great after a long haul flight. Room was well laid out, possibly a little dated but overall fine. Location is perfect, was able to walk to many places and only took an uber a few times. Upstairs there was a bar with great views and a great place to wrap up a day. I was surprised that I had some very minor requests that required no problem-solving just simple answers, but people couldn't answer them until someone else would show up. It was actually odd and an off putting. This happened more than once, and I found it strange. Neither the concierge nor the person that sat at that little desk nor anyone at the front counter could help. Fortunately, whoever was the head bell person picked up on these things that would run over and address the issue immediately. Whoever trained the Bellman need to train your front staff on answering very simple question and just basic problem-solving. Other than that, it was an enjoyable stay.

The hotel is well appointed and we booked a club access room. The service in the club rooms was below par. We waited an hour for our room, ie after check in time. Then no wine glasses in the club, when arrived where warm, clearly under staffed then at breakfast we had to commandeer a staff member to take our order for coffee to turn up 25 minutes later.

Overall hotel is good location and views. Staff were friendly and helpful. The one disappointment was the club lounge. Have stayed there several times before and the offering in the club lounge appears to have declined. First night they ran out of wine glasses and options were limited. Also on checkout the foyer was filled with bags as they do not appear to have a separate baggage room so navigating around bags. If staying the rooms and staff are good but I do not recommend the club option

Amazing Hotel and this booking had me in the top five floors which is the Horizon Club with a lounge and special food and beverages at different times of the day. It was so impressive. Our views of Sydney Harbor were spectacular. This was a great deal./

I was really disappointed with my stay at Shangri-La. The rooms are very outdated and have a noticeable unpleasant smell. The carpets feel old and worn, which doesn’t give a clean or fresh impression at all. The beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the condition of the room falls well below what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. In my opinion, the property is in serious need of a full renovation to bring it back up to standard.
