Bad parking

Having stayed at this hotel twice already, the second one with the room being flooded and NO compensation offered, we reluctantly booked another stay. This was purely for it being in close proximity to our needs. We are a party of 4, which includes an elderly person in a wheelchair who is in their late nineties. When we booked our latest visit, we phoned to request a connecting room to the accessible room that we had booked. The other room that we booked was a Queen with sofa bed. The person at the hotel confirmed that an accessible room with a connecting room was reserved for us on the 4th floor. Upon checking in were shocked to hear that the accessible room and other room were in close proximity. When we queried that we had specifically booked and paid for the 2 connecting rooms, the receptionist went to speak to someone from reservations. Came back a while later confirming that we now had connecting rooms however on the 1st floor. We went to our rooms & found that the connecting room only had a Queen bed but no sofa bed. Went back to Reception (another person served us so we had to tell her the whole story again and she had to check with Reservations what had happened). Apparently the room reserved for us was occupied by someone the week before and they extended their stay for a week so they remained in same room!! We paid extra for a room that we didn’t get - we had to insist on a refund for the balance. Not acceptable! Room were dirty and extremely noisy. Poor service!!

Nice size room, easy 10 minute walk from Canterbury West train . Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Shower ok, bed a wee bit tired. Big bonus having a buffet breakfast included - thank you! It was a bit noisy on weekend due to nearby clubs

Perfect location. Staff were incredibly helpful and breakfast was wonderful. Would stay here again.

always professional here , very clean. we prefer to go to breakfast early to avoid ques when its busy (before 8am) car park next door is convenient but pricey. all round a good place to stay we have been a good few times and will go again!

Great hotel in the centre of Canterbury. The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good too!

Lovely modern hotel in a great location. The room was a generous size. The bathroom had a huge shower. Breakfast was included and was excellent - especially the scrambled eggs! Yum! Staff were really kind and professional. There’s a good bar, a bit pricy - but that’s to be expected. Parking is discounted to £25 and only a two minute walk away. Everything in Canterbury is so close - it’s an absolutely lovely city. This hotel is the perfect spot.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was extremely helpful without exception. Breakfast was good, no complaints. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time, John was very polite and welcoming, he gave us great advice, we get a family room it was clean and very nice. Breakfast was great. I think John is a fantastic staff. Highly recommend this hotel. On my next trip to Canterbury i will be staying at this hotel

The hotel was well-designed and it was the best breakfast.

This is a really nice hotel. The room was clean and quiet at night. The staff were really helpful and the break was super. I did find it hard to open and close the sliding bathroom door. Not impossible but needed to give it a shove .

The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel sits in a great location to visit many tourist attractions. Breakfast was okay, but not as good as some reviews say.

Property was in an excellent location, within the city centre walking distance from the cathedral! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Front of house staff were knowledgeable and professional! Well-equipped hotel with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Pretty good breakfast too! Strong recommendation.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Martin welcomed us to the hotel when we arrived and helped us to get settled into our room swiftly. The gym was clean and well equipped. A very bice place to work out. Dining area was bright and clean with staff available to help and keep tje area tidy.
