Klaten Train Station

Klaten Station (KT) is a Class 1 train station located in Tonggalan, Klaten Tengah. This station is included in the Operational Region VI Yogyakarta. Most of the passengers traveling on the Solo - Yogyakarta route will stop at this station. This station has six train lines, namely line 1 straight to Yogyakarta and line 2 straight to Solo. What is unique about these two routes is that they both turn slightly at the corner.

Klaten has four different area codes

If another city has one area code, Klaten has four different area codes. North Klaten has the code 0276 because it borders Boyolali, the western and southern parts of Klaten have the area code 0274 while the eastern part bordering Surakarta has the code 0271. Meanwhile, the official code for Klaten district is 0272.

Surrounded by large temples

The famous Prambanan and Sewu Temples are located close to Klaten City. If you visit Klaten City, you will have the opportunity to visit the two large temples.

Close to the mountain

Apart from the big temple, Klaten is also close to Mount Merapi, which is to the southeast of Mount Merapi.
