Sragen Train Station

Sragen Station (SR) is located in Sragen Kulon, and is included as Operation Region VI Yogyakarta. The location of Sragen Station is close to Pasar Bunder, and also the Solo-Ngawi highway. Previously, Sragen Station had line one, which was a straight line, lines two and three, used a straight line in the direction of Solo and Madiun. Meanwhile, lane four is used as a direct line leading to the warehouse. The use and layout of the track has slightly changed on March 5, 2019. In addition to these changes, there has also been construction, namely the construction of a canopy built by the Directorate General of Railways. The original building of Sragen Station is no longer the original building built by Staatsspoorwegen (a Dutch company), many renovations have been carried out after the original building of Sragen Station was demolished. This development aims to accommodate the increasing number of passengers every day.

Other name of Sragen Station

The ludunya Sragen Station was once named Modjo Sragen Station because of the location of the Mojo Sragen Sugar Factory on the southern part of the railroad. Sragen Station was also built with the aim of facilitating the delivery of molasses from the sugar factory. The sugar factory still exists today and is controlled by PT Perkebunan Nusantara IX.
