The Temurun Waterfall is conveniently located in the Datai Bay area at the Mat Cincang Nature Park, offering refreshing waters from the mountain. Temurun Waterfall is the tallest waterfall in Langkawi Island cascade down a 30 meters drop, forming a nice pool below that can be swim in. Temurun Waterfall is a three tier waterfall and its cumulative drop of the falls is about 200 meters. The lowest tier are small, the main one in the middle is quite impressive and the top tier is not reachable.

The water stream flows down the northern slope of Gunung Mat Cincang, Langkawi Island’s highest peak. The rocks here comprises mainly of sandstone and shale, and is over 500 million years old. During the dry season, however, the waterfall flow to a trickle and tend to be quite shallow and slow-moving. The best time to see the Temurun Waterfall is during the rainy season at the year end in between September and October.
