Definitely 100% will come back again 👍 The hotel is small but complete and comfortable. The room is small but not damp at all. There is a pantry available, you can cook and drink water as much as you like. There is also a refrigerator. Don't forget there is a place to iron clothes. The service is very friendly and the price is very reasonable... 🤗 I stayed 4 days 3 nights and there were no shortcomings at all staying here.

Bugis is known for having one of the biggest, coolest and cheapest places when it comes to shopping in the whole of Singapore. This famous district came with some very interesting history 50 years back – it was the gathering spot of transwomen who would entertain the visiting military men. Now, shaking off its naughty side, Bugis is also the hub for some of the best hotels in town.

It was all worth the money, the staffs were really helpful, thank you Belle, Divina, and Dolly for the prompt reply every time I needed something :) They got a laundry which is very useful for those who stay more than 3 days. The location is also very strategic near Bugis Junction and Bugis+, got Seven Eleven around as well. Will definitely come back here again for my short trip in SG.

The hostel owner is very friendly and speaks both Indonesian and Malay. We were always served tangerines and snacks during our stay. Coincidentally, we arrived during Chinese New Year and Ramadan, and were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The facilities include a water dispenser with tap water, coffee, and teh tarik. There is also a refrigerator and a microwave to heat up takeaway food, which was especially helpful for sahur. Thanks to the hostel owner. We will definitely come back again because the hostel is strategically located near Sultan Mosque. It makes it very convenient to perform prayers. It is also close to the Malay Heritage Centre in Kampong Glam. The hostel owner is very friendly and speaks both Indonesian and Malay. We were always served tangerines and snacks during our stay. Had an impromptu staycay with my husband here & we enjoyed our short stay. A nice boutique hotel that is very near Bugis. Nice & friendly staffs. Room is very small but decent for boutique hotel. Requested for vegetarian breakfast & got some good white bee hoon mee with mock meat from killiney that's opposite the hotel. Take note that late check out is chargeable at $25 per hour. Would come back for the rooftop room one day 😊

The service was good and as the package included breakfast. The location was walking distance from Arab Street, Bugis Junction and Little India. We spent most of our time in the Arab area and there were interesting restaurants along the way to Arab Street. The breakfast was alacart choice and the western menu was good quality, fresh salad and well done poached eggs.

Exploring the Bugis Neighbourhood

Bugis Junction & Bugis+

Bugis Junction is directly connected to Bugis MRT station, making it one of the most accessible shopping centres in Singapore. The mall features a distinctive glass-covered street modelled after a heritage shophouse lane, creating a unique open-air feel within an air-conditioned environment. You will find popular retail brands, dining outlets, a cinema, and the InterContinental Singapore hotel integrated into the complex. Next door, Bugis+ focuses more on lifestyle and entertainment, with a good selection of restaurants, a cinema, and event spaces. Staying at a hotel within walking distance of these malls means you have instant access to shopping, dining, and entertainment without needing to travel anywhere.

Bugis Street Market

For bargain hunters, Bugis Street Market is an institution. Once known as Singapore’s most famous night market, today it operates as a covered street shopping destination where you can pick up affordable clothing, accessories, souvenirs, and street food. The market is located just a short walk from Bugis MRT and remains a popular spot for both tourists and locals looking for deals. Hotels near Bugis Street benefit from the lively atmosphere and the convenience of having so many retail options right at your doorstep.

Arab Street, Haji Lane & Kampong Glam

The Kampong Glam heritage district is one of Singapore’s most photogenic and culturally significant areas. Arab Street is lined with textile shops, perfume stores, and rug dealers that reflect the neighbourhood’s Malay-Arab heritage. Haji Lane, a narrow side street that has become one of Singapore’s trendiest addresses, is filled with independent boutiques, vintage stores, specialty coffee shops, and vibrant street art. Bussorah Street offers a charming pedestrianised stretch leading directly to the golden dome of the Sultan Mosque, which is one of Singapore’s most important religious landmarks. Hotels situated in or near Kampong Glam provide an immersive cultural experience that is hard to find elsewhere in Singapore.

National Library & Civic District

The National Library of Singapore, located on Victoria Street near Bugis MRT, is a striking architectural landmark and a wonderful place to spend a quiet afternoon. The building houses extensive collections, exhibition spaces, and a rooftop garden with views of the city skyline. From Bugis, you are also within easy walking distance of the Civic District, which includes landmarks such as the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Art Museum, and the historic Raffles Hotel. This proximity to major cultural institutions makes Bugis an excellent base for travellers who enjoy art, history, and architecture.

Getting Around from Bugis

Bugis MRT station is an interchange between the East-West Line and the Downtown Line, giving you direct access to destinations across the entire island. Changi Airport is reachable in approximately 30 minutes without any transfers. For those who prefer buses, numerous routes pass through Bugis, connecting you to Chinatown, Little India, Sentosa, and beyond. This connectivity means you can explore all of Singapore’s highlights while returning to the comfort of your Bugis hotel each evening.
