More about hotels in Indonesia
Find hotels for the part of Indonesia you want to explore
Indonesia is an island-by-island accommodation decision. Begin with the destinations on your itinerary, then compare hotels within each one. A Bali holiday, a Jakarta city visit and a journey through Java call for different overnight bases. For travellers from the Philippines, the country page is a place to discover those options before narrowing the search.
In Bali, choose between the coast and the interior
Bali accommodation covers several distinct settings. A resort photograph alone will not tell you whether the hotel is by the sea, in a town or among inland greenery.
Ubud stays suit an itinerary centred on the island's interior, rice-field landscapes, arts and cultural outings. Staying in central Ubud places you in a town setting; accommodation farther out can make the greenery a larger part of the experience. Ubud is an inland choice rather than a beach base.
Seminyak hotels offer a coastal setting in southern Bali, with dining and shopping as well as beach outings. They suit travellers who want that mix during the stay. A Seminyak address alone does not establish that the property fronts the beach.
Build separate stays for a wider itinerary
If your route includes more than one Indonesian island or several cities, arrange the accommodation around each stop. Within Bali, dividing a longer holiday between Ubud and the coast can give each setting its own time. Compare the actual room category and included services in each location; a pool, kitchen or airport transfer belongs to the listed property or package, rather than every Indonesian hotel.
