I had a wonderful stay at Princesa Garden Island Resort on Christmas Eve! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in and a comfortable experience throughout. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights was the thoughtful gesture of giving a gift to our toddler, which made the holiday season even more special. The breakfast buffet and festive decorations added a cozy touch to our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future!

We had a pleasant stay at Panja Resort. The staff are friendly. The place is near Baker's Hill (one of the tourist spots included in the city tour), around 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel. Mitra's Ranch is also near it, but we were not able to go there due to our time limit. They also have a free ride from and to Robinsons mall. You may want to check their schedules. Also, they have free airport transfer from the hotel (only).

The accommodation is worth the price. The room is clean and the front desk catered to our needs as expected. Staffs are approachable too. Breakfast is good though it's a small portion. It's okay though, we had a breakfast buffet on our last day there. There's also a free shuttle service going to the airport. All in all, it was a good experience.

More about hotels in Babuyan

Discover Babuyan: A Philippine Archipelago of Untamed Beauty and Cultural Richness

Babuyan, a captivating archipelago set in the northern Philippines, offers a distinct allure for international travellers seeking an authentic slice of Filipino island life. Unlike the more frequented tourist hubs, Babuyan presents a raw, untamed beauty characterized by dramatic coastlines, lush interiors, and a diverse mix of indigenous cultures. For those venturing from afar, it promises an escape from the ordinary, a chance to connect with nature and local traditions in a setting that feels both remote and welcoming. The islands provide a unique blend of adventure and tranquility, making them an increasingly attractive destination for discerning global explorers.

The archipelago's charm lies in its diverse geography and the distinct character of its individual islands and communities. From the bustling hub of Puerto Princesa, which serves as a gateway to many of the islands, to the more secluded villages like Bancao-Bancao, San Pedro, Aborlan, Tiniguiban, Concepcion, San Manuel, and Sta. Monica, each locale offers a different facet of the Babuyan experience. Travellers can choose to immerse themselves in the vibrant energy of a larger town or seek solace in a quiet coastal hamlet. This internal variation ensures that no two visits to Babuyan are alike, with the choice of where to stay significantly shaping the overall journey.

In terms of value, Babuyan presents a compelling proposition for international visitors. While specific average nightly rates can fluctuate, the general cost of accommodation and daily expenses in the Philippines, including Babuyan, remains significantly lower than in many Western countries. For travellers from the US, Europe, and India, the PHP 2,000-₱5,000 per night range for comfortable mid-range hotels offers exceptional value, allowing for extended stays or the indulgence in more activities and local experiences. This affordability, coupled with the islands' natural and cultural wealth, positions Babuyan as a destination that delivers rich experiences without an exorbitant price tag.

The accommodation landscape in Babuyan, while still developing, offers a spectrum of options to suit various preferences. From the unique charm of the Maoyon River Cruise Rafting, offering an immersive natural experience, to the community-focused atmosphere of Iglesia Ni Cristo, which often provides simpler, more local stays, there's a place for every type of traveller. These examples highlight the diverse lodging possibilities available, from adventure-oriented stays to those that offer a glimpse into local life. For those ready to explore these options, it's easy to book hotel accommodations that align with their travel style and budget.

Babuyan is a destination that caters to a wide array of international travellers. For American tourists, it offers an exotic adventure with opportunities for diving, exploring natural wonders, and experiencing a vibrant local culture. European travellers, often drawn to historical and cultural immersion, will find the islands' unique heritage and the warmth of Filipino hospitality particularly appealing. Indian travellers will appreciate the relative affordability, the delicious local cuisine, and the ease of travel within the Philippines, while African travellers may find a sense of regional familiarity in the tropical climate and the strong community bonds.

For an authentic dining experience, head to the local markets and 'carinderias' (small, casual eateries) scattered throughout Puerto Princesa and its surrounding islands. These spots are where you'll find the freshest ingredients and most traditional preparations. Areas like San Pedro and Bancao-Bancao often have clusters of these local eateries. For Muslim travellers, while Halal-certified restaurants might be limited, many establishments can prepare dishes without pork or cross-contamination if informed in advance, and fresh seafood and vegetable options are widely available.
